Not sure what the last one would be. Victory maybe? But that's a bit of a stretch from VIC-20 to victory.

Okay, I'm going over the articles now; I'll open up a notepad document and start writing down things that stick out about it and match up to stuff we've seen.


EDIT:
Finished part one. Here are my notes:

Part One
"Most of the footage was random footage..."
When our protagonist talked to his mom, she said his dad always had his camera and recorded nearly everything.


"Or him playing with a random spider, which he would talk to in a low, childlike voice, then end the tape with him squashing it."
At the end of one of the videos, there was a shot of a spider.

"The one thing that always stuck out about all the footage is that on the few times that his face was shown, he was seen wearing what looked like a burlap sack tightly tied around his head with twine with two eye holes cut out. He was also a big guy, being easily over 6 feet tall with a decent build, with some muscles, but not being buff."
We see a man wearing the exact "sack" described here several times.

"Alot of the footage was alot more creepy and sinister."
Obvious; the person recording seems to stalk people and holds a young woman captive, inflicting bodily harm on her.

"Another clip showed him in a barn (which there was no barn on my friends property, so we don't know where this was filmed)."
We've ocassionaly seen stables in the videos.

"He then walked to a corner of the room and started furiously carving something into the floor with the hunting knife."
This one has to do with the Zodiac Killer, who would leave messages for the police; one message was carved into a desk: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Zodiac_Killer_letters#December_1966

So far, all I see is that this whole ARG may be a reference to these stories or visa versa; otherwise, I don't think they are at all related, for several reasons.

EDIT:

Part Two

Another one had a (presumably) dead dog lying on the ground (All we could really see of it's surroundings was the dirt of the ground. Behind it was too dark).
One of the items in the lockbox was a collar/choke chain.

Others seemed to be random thoughts, like how he accidentally pissed his pants while at the movies or how he has an "infectious evil" and that he'll spread that to his "disciples".
Some of the messages in the tinyurl addresses we recieved from the "donotcontinue" person are "spread my word," "fear my name," and "worship me for now."

Nothing noteworthy was in Part Three.
