My current Bruce theory, (yes I'm late):

Alex hitched his way to the park one day, to do...whatever it was at the tunnel.

Bruce, being kind, offered to take him over there.

Alex tells him, don't follow me in, I'll be back out soon.

Bruce waits by his car, smoking.

Bruce notices Jay coming out of the woods, looking a bit frazzled and frantic.

Bruce decides he should probably make sure Alex is ok.

Bruce goes in, find Alex, gets Rocked.

I'm most likely wrong, but it would explain why Bruce was there in the first place... >.>

Why would Alex need to hitch a ride when we have seen countless times that he has his own car? Plus, we see him walking from his car and into the forest in one of the entries. (I'm not the best with keeping track of numbers)

Alex might have just taken his glasses off while they were walking, I mean they were walking for over forty minutes right? The lenses might've been fogging up or something.

At 6:00 the sky really reminds me off Entry 29, I totally thought this was going to turn into noentry for a second.

Also, does anyone else think Jay looks kinda ..."not right" when he's just sitting outside the tunnel? I wonder if something happened during that 12 minute blackout.

Thank you!

I don't think Alex mistook Bruce from someone else, it's not like he quickly shot him wen he turned around or something like that. Alex looked at Bruce, waited a second, ran up to him and then went on to fight him. He had plenty of time to realize who he was attacking. Alex was expecting someone else to be following him but regardless didn't want anyone to interfere with whatever he was doing in the tunnel.

I agree with you--sorry, I think I misspoke here a bit. I didn't mean to say he thought it was somebody else entirely, just that the anger he had at that moment which lead him to kill wasn't Bruce's doing.

Are you talking about Alex telling the tale of the strung up people? I think he was telling the tale to Jay to try and explain to Jay what is driving him to everything he's doing. That he's not always in control of what he's doing (or that he totally lost control all together) / that he must do somethings he isn't proud of to achieve his goal (whatever that is)

What I had meant was bringing Jay (and later Jessica) into the forest at all, but that's a good point as well. I'd always interpreted it to be the beginnings of a sort of origin story for The Operator, though I'm not sure why I got that impression. But I agree that he might actually just want to talk, and maybe explain some things. And if Jessica's involved enough that she's in danger as well, I'm sure she'd be interested to hear.

I don't think Alex is a bad guy. Stressed out to the brink of insanity at points, and perhaps a little antisocial now, but I think he still wants to do what's right. And I want to believe he still cares about Amy.

Maybe he wanted his car left at home so if anyone was staking him out there, they'd see the car out front and think he was still inside?

After all, this time, Jay waited til Alex had driven off before going inside.

To anyone questioning the darkness to lightness of going from in the woods to outside the tunnel: When you're in a heavily wooded area, it appears darker due to the trees providing cover. The opening to the tunnel is out in the open, so it's lighter there.

I live down the street from a park with trails and sometimes when you're in the wooded parts, it does almost look like it's nighttime when it really isn't...xD

Except 48 and 49 show Alex driving to Rosswood, so he couldn't have hitched a ride there with Bruce.

I was thinking the same thing. my theorie is a TO moment which would explain how the tape went black. but since we have no way of knowing its just speculation.

There's only been one mention of a crucial fact here and I can't find it due to laziness.
But the fact that Alex has started upturning his apartment (previous poster offered the idea as key searching, which is very possible) tells me that his Slendy-sickness is becoming worse, adding to the coughing/crazy drawings.
This is almost parallel to Tim in Brian's house even though he hasn't got as bad as Tim. Yet. Killing a man does put him up as evil though.

Hello! I'm new here, and this seems like as good a moment as any to jump in.

The limp has made me wonder -- are we absolutely sure of the chronology of #34 and 35? Jay clearly went to #34 soon after he received the package, but did he actually revisit the house a second time in close succession, or did he come back AFTER the events of the current subplot?

Im assuming he did seem to be somewhat suprised to see Alex... but you do raise a decent point ill be sure to keep this one in mind.

Well -- the other possibility as I see it is that Masky is a "role" that Tim usually takes on, but might be assumed by someone else from time to time. Hoody perhaps, or whoever else is part of TTA.

Yeah, I hope his actions will be explained more at the end... Not just: Oh Alex became a proxy/was an asshole only interested in getting away from the operator and achieving his personal goals whatever the cost. I'm hoping he still can come out as a hero... However he is pretty insane at the moment Razz

Not sure if this possibility has been mentioned yet, but...

Anyone else think that perhaps the 12 minutes of blank video was a result of Tim/Mask leading Jay somewhere to talk to him? 12 minutes seems long enough for a conversation and Jay's exasperation when the video returns could be interpreted as just having learned something heavy(Like Alex killing a guy perhaps?).

Just a thought.

Here's a nice little thought.

Hey guys, long-time lurker, first time poster.

OOG:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Troy posted that picture of him and Tim scouting out that abandoned warehouse. Perhaps we find out what was on those 12 minutes either in #51 or #52, and that warehouse is where it was located.

Another thing that strikes me as weird is Masky following Jay and leading him through the Tunnel. We have no idea what is on the other side of that tunnel, so maybe Masky leads him through the tunnel to the warehouse to have that little 12 minute chat with him.

It's pretty clear that this is supposed to be a continuation on 38, so I'm going to chalk it up to production error.

That's what I think too. Haha, I'd hate to over-analyze it.

If there isn't a new entry by Wednesday (at the latest) then Troy is just doing it wrong. As many have mentioned already, it would take no more than 10 seconds to identify the tape shown. Also, he's down to, what, 3-6 tapes? That's just an estimate, but I do recall him saying last month that he was down to the last couple of tapes.

Also, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS ALEX PLANNING ON SHOWING JAY & JESSICA?! Intrigued to the fullest extent! Haven't been so excited to see a new entry since the aftermath of... #41? Yeah that was a good one.
