Sent a message to Leslie this morning asking if she was ready to talk. Nothing yet.

Nothing special seems to be planned for October 5th, either. At least not nationwide.

So either DS3 has him and he's safe, DS3 has him and he's in trouble, or whoever kidnapped him left that.

ME:
So, as I said -- and the others probably told you -- Cory found some crazy scary stuff at work. He hid his name in a couple of outgoing Project Mnemosyne information packets for applicants. That's how we found him.

Most of us have applied to be part of Project Mnemosyne. The money is good -- if I'm selected I'll be able to pay off my house and my student loans. I'm hoping that it'll let me get in, so to speak, to figure out what the hell has been going on. I have my reservations. The company is asking us to cut off contact with friends and family six weeks prior to showing up. And we are to report with literally nothing but the clothes on our back. No cell phones, no computers, no mementos, no photos.

Since signing up the applicants have been receiving very strange emails from dataserver3SPLATveilnanoscience.com -- PDF files, photos, quotes from the Bible and Frankenstein. Most of it has done nothing else but seemingly tell a story, but one photo led us to a man with a missing daughter. Her name on a list of girls in what we think is a intra-office email at Veil.

Cory asked us applicants to chat with him Wednesday, where he shared the info that he found. Or rather, found him. It was a file related to Subject-002, and included her(?) journaling and thoughts. One of the quotes was "I like being one day old" or something to that effect. There's other evidence that Veil has been experimenting on humans much much longer than they would like to claim.

There's not much else I can tell you, although I have a feeling that Cory never left the building after our chat. Sad

LESLIE:
Annie,

I knew something was going on at work. The way he'd been acting for the last two weeks was just different. I could tell. He said he was sick and I'd walk in on him in the computer room and he'd look shaken, like he was scared of me. He was on edge, but then he'd cough, probably pretending to be sick.

I don't know what to do. Do we have any idea who was in the office with him?

ME:
No clue. I guess we all assumed that he was alone. This morning the applicants received an email from Dataserver3: a picture of Cory's ID badge/security pass. Another applicant had this idea: "So either DS3 has him and he's safe, DS3 has him and he's in trouble, or whoever kidnapped him left that."

Hopefully it's a good sign. I emailed Dataserver3 asking if he was safe, but of course I'll get no reply. Sad

Did Cory say anything to you, or give you instructions on what to do if something happened to him?

Suggestions, comments, questions?

You're not the only one, believe me.

Yeah, I was thinking something similar, except I think that MKULTRA was mostly concerned with drug development. I guess the MKULTRA documents suggest that Chip-77 is intended for military use? Maybe something similar to Chip-77 was included in MKULTRA, but their existence wasn't discovered?

Well, in an age where technology reigns supreme, development of a chip to do what drugs could do temporarily or "hokey" methods, This sort of project is/was inevitable. drugs don't always work as they intend, and often have very negative side effects. A computer chips, when designed properly, does its job every time exactly the same way with the same results.

This is just a continuation of a project that is an offspring of an offspring of an offspring of MKULTRA. Though it wasn't officially stated then, the objective was effective mind control in order to 1) Create "super soldier" programs and 2) covert national spies that would be nigh impossible to discover. 3) Think of "The Manchurian Candidate". Easily controlled key personnel in high ranking positions...

All in all, it's not good. Yeah, it could potentially have beneficial purposes, but the fact the CIA and DoD are involved in this type of tech does not bode well.

I think it's always been that but, I still feel like we don't have them all. So it would be hard to make sense of what we have anyway. I have a few ideas of what may or may not be happening, or what will come from the file names, but for right now I think we're just in a bit of an interactive story line. Whether or not that will change come Oct 5, I'm not sure.

Even without the 158 page document, DS3 has sent us an ungodly amount of txt and picture information and trying to find hidden clues in all of them (besides the file names) is a little crazy and pretty daunting, considering everything about the pictures and the Frankenstein txt is suspicious.

I do think we may need to work the characters we have contact with more, for example Alice. She won't talk about Veil outright but hinted that asking about her company may be helpful. Maybe we could brainstorm some questions about CBALTech, that may help us gather important info, or at the very least gain her trust because she does know something about Dr Veil and his company.

Just a reminder, there is always people in the IRC chat when Cory is not around if you wanna throw some ideas around. Smile

So, apologies for being a bit absent. Life's life, right? Anyways.

Remember how I asked Alice what CBALtech did prior to all this? Yea, well, here we go.

Alice wrote:
Damian,

Hello again dear.

I apologize that it's been a few days since I've gotten back to you. I was actually on a trip to Africa with my husband the last few days and internet access was, needless to say, spotty.

I wanted to answer your questions.

You can of course find much of the information about our history on our website. We started in 1975 with a dream of fixing the problems of the world. My husband is a very stoic man, for lack of a better term, and he is very set in his ways. The first twenty years of our existence was very successful. We provided data and research to many of the top technology companies of the world.

Intel and Texas Instruments were two of our biggest customers. We focused heavily on computing in the late 80's and into the 90's.

We were very focused on how computers and databases could help the healthcare industry.

Of course, the projects listed on our website aren't all that we worked on.

Since you're so interested in Alec Veil and his company, plus the fact that this young lady is missing, I think it is your best interest to know that Alec wasn't the director of research for those projects. We delegated those to lower level employees. Alec specifically worked in researching and developing new technologies.

I don't believe it needs to be said that Alec was working on something similar to what he does now when he was here. My husband knows more about all of that. He was a father figure to Alec. I'm not sure what went wrong along the way, but it was an interesting relationship they had. I don't think he approved of what Alec was spending company time and money on, but again, my husband is a quiet and stoic man and doesn't open up much about it.

I hope that all helps.

So, in an attempt to get Alice to open up some more with me, I decided to clue her in to what was going on - I kept names confidential, so she only knows about an insider (Cory), but no name. Most likely, she has no involvement, but something I said might make a connection, and lead us somewhere - if nothing else, the trust foundation might grow between us.

I have not yet connected with Cory's friends or fiance - any luck on those fronts? I feel like too many people contacting them would be an overload, so I'll refrain for now, unless someone thinks I should.

EDIT: Also, who are we trusting? Do we trust Brandon? Leslie? Scott? Steve? Any of them? Do we trust them enough to tell them what/how we met Cory, and what's been going on?

You're right -- it is daunting. Doesn't help that Leslie was literally kept in the dark, so it feels like she has nothing new to provide to the search. I want to push her into being a little more proactive rather than just have her sit around feeling helpless. I don't think it's going to happen.

I'm with you on this feeling more like an interactive story line.

Curious as to the significance of Oct 5, other than the applicant deadline.

School and work late today; maybe I'll harass, er, introduce myself to a few of Cory's co-workers.

I'm trusting Leslie and have posted my emails with her in the thread. Leaving out the really crazy scary stuff, I've told her what's been going on.

Brandon has a relationship with the couple, so I'm going to reach out to him next. "Lab rat"/Research Assistant.

Scott - Cory said something about him being a ditz (I think?) so I'm going to skip over him for now. No position listed.

Steve - possibly. He's in Human Resources and could potentially be useful.

Sean - probably not. No position listed.

Vincent - undecided. Accountant.

Yea, the top 3 are the ones I messaged. I also just went by who posted on his wall/tagged Cory in the search for his missing self. Brandon, Steve, and Leslie were the only ones who've actually shown interest in it.

Also, I just realized something - I was just saving the DS3 pictures (archiving, as I do), and as I'm saving, I'm trying to look for any giveaways. The picture of what we think are servers, nothing special.. the picture of the military confidentiality, blah blah, nothing special... but then I saved the newest picture, the one DS3 sent of Cory's badge. Now, it could be nothing, might just be the fact that the picture's resolution is 2592x1936, but the damn thing is 1.69MB. Now, granted, the last picture that was stegged was 5.25MB, but I just thought I'd point it out. Again, could be nothing, and we could just be playing the waiting game now.

EDIT: Scratch that. Just made an image with the same resolution, threw some random shit in it, saved it at the highest quality, and it came out to be 1.7MB. That was a bust.

*tap* mike check *tap* this thing on?

i said previously that i've had dialogue with brandon and will post as i get them. just got this

me: i know he inadvertently came across some information about your company and trying to get the message out. he was getting emails from 'data server 3', this is the last one. it only had this picture attached
(the id)

me: (gave him a heads up to the group) Project Mnemosyne Applicants

brandon: I joined the group. That's definitely Cory's ID. I mean, it's not faked or anything. See how the top is sort of beat up? I make fun of him for that all of the time. It's his.
