My Season-one-fu is weak right now, but didn't Jay actually move away after the events of those tapes?

Hmmm. So if time travel were to be an incredibly major point of the storyline, then perhaps Jay's seven-month blackout could be explained... by simply traveling forward in time?

Well, the Silence DO look like Slendy...

Maybe the Ark is something that's bigger on the inside!

So The Ark is... AN OVER-"ARK"ING THEME!? Laughing

This means that TTA is doing this to have an audience with the public, or to say that MH should pander to the audience. Or perhaps it's gonna rain, and all the animals have to stand on all the people.

After seeing plenty of EMH stuff on their "ark," I suspect more and more the Ark is a person. THE person (whatever that means).

We are building up to a revelation about individuals I think. Identities of Hoody, Alex's true nature, Jessica's life, even why the fuck Tim loves his mask.

The geographic locations are tied to individuals, and items only exist related heavily to those very same people. I think the Ark, to keep consistent with presentation, will likely be someone rather than something or somewhere.

Furthermore, I feel like these last few entires might offer some clue directly to its nature. They know how they want to end and this isn't Lost, so hopefully it won't explode in the final week.

I've strongly suspected that if TTA is more than one person, that Hoody is the brains behind the operation. We've seen Masky in TTA vids fairly often, but that means he's not the one behind the camera and therefore PROBABLY not the one sending whatever messages they happen to contain.

I'd be a little surprised if the Ark was a physical place.

I sort of feel like the ark has already been found. Since season one, we haven't heard anymore desperation of out TTA to find it...I actually don't think there's a single season 2 TTA video that mentions specifically The Ark.

We haven't been focusing on the present timeline that much at all, so it would be really easy not to see the effects of TTA finding the ark...probably something we'll see a lot more of once this 7-month gap is closed. I mean obviously I don't know this for sure but it seems like focus on the actual ark has been shifted a bit in another direction.

Also about the headlights thing, I just feel like there's been a theme of pairs throughout season 2 in TTA. Mostly we just see those two dots that usually seem like eyes, but in Inquiry we've got the two face-like blobs that momentarily appear. We see the headlights too in Sidetone, in the green splotches that run across the screen in Forecast there are pairs of fingerprint-type things, and then the uproar about Twins in Classified...it just seems like a thing. Which is fitting, given that Noah's Ark was all about pairs too.

No idea what this indicates but I feel like it's important?

I mentioned this in another thread (no idea which one, sorry!) but I think this is really important. TTA is very impatient. Jay has spent months looking back, but very little time looking at at the present or forward. TTA originally sprang up as a response to the videos being posted, seeming to think that Jay would be the one to lead him to this 'ark', but when Jay started failing to do so, TTA mentions that control is being taken away, that this is 'no longer a game'. Then Alex sends the package to Jay, and the next 7 months disappear from Jay's memory.

This season, Jay's trying to piece things back together, but it feels like TTA is almost taunting Jay, pushing Jay. He's spent this time looking at this footage that, we assume, he wasn't supposed to look at. I am becoming more and more convinced that TTA/Tim were the ones responsible for Jay and Jessica's predicament in the beginning of the season. The ark, whatever it is, was either found in those seven months or became entirely unimportant for TTA.

TTA asks Jay how much he hates... and then says he doesn't hate enough. Did Jay want to help Alex still, despite him doing some awful things? Maybe TTA doesn't want Alex to be helped - they want to stop Alex from doing whatever it is that he's doing, and they want Jay to help. Maybe that's what the ark was all about at first. Maybe not. I'm still not sure if TTA/Tim are going to end up the good guys, or if both Alex and TTA are 'bad guys' who just happen to oppose each other.

This season, though, will most definitely be ending with the conclusion of the look back at the past seven months. Season three, I would hedge a bet, will be more present-day exploration.

OOG...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Troy has mentioned that originally, S2 was going to be the last, and that they decided to extend it one more season since the 7 months retrospective was taking longer than expected. They wanted to give us 'the ending the story deserves'. I can't see them still looking back at those 7 months again come the start of S3, so we'll definitely be seeing the last of these tapes/footage in the next entry or two.

Speaking of which, I am starting to agree that it'd make sense for 52 to be the last entry of S2. 26 and 26 (not including TTA) makes a lot of sense, both thematically as well as in terms of practicality (26 was pretty good for the first DVD, and I'm sure it'll be great for S2's).

OOG speculation:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I like to imagine that the Ark is a relic from Troy's "I'm just making this up as I go along" days and that once he started planning out a real direction for the series and TTA videos he realized, "This is a really dumb idea that's not going to go anywhere, so I'm just going to drop it."

I've also been thinking about it just now. You may remember the "...and you will lead us to the ark" bit from season 1. It may be that TTA has successfully been led to the ark (whatever it is) in the seven months and has nothing more to accomplish in that regard through Jay. I want to assume that none of Jay's season 2 entries are useful to TTA as he already knows what happened; if so, TTA hasn't got much to do but either taunt Jay or help him remember out of sheer niceness. He can gain no new information from him. I've been meaning to rewatch season 2 from this angle and try to reassess TTA's messages accordingly.

Right yes, that's exactly what I mean. That maybe somewhere in here Jay ended up leading TTA "to the ark". I'm not sure if this is going to work for or against Jay, and that would sort of determine why TTA is still posting videos. Maybe it was an inconvenience to TTA to have Jay lose his memory and they're posting videos to try and set him back on track? Or maybe now TTA is just rubbing it in Jay's face that things are all sorts of effed up right now.

ONE DAY we'll know who's on whose side.
