Dumb question but... how do you say Reach? Is it... "Reech" or "Rake"?

We have confirmation in the chat -- it is Reach.

We need to think of some general ideas and objects that are here now and likely to be there in the future.... For example:

Personal Transportation: car, boat, airplane, military craft... and then find a shot of a "future" concept to send along with it.

Retail/Gathering places: We know from the dialog in the pages that in the time frame requested, there are shops and restaurants. So, shops and restaurants are in. For shops, look at perhaps military uniforms in a surplus store... or in the closet, for some of us... and send a shot of the MJOLNIR armor along with it.
For restaurants... shoot a cafeteria-type restaurant, then perhaps a shot of the cafeteria area on the Pillar of Autumn from the game's opening sequences.

Weapons & Firearms: Pictures of guns, rifles, bazookas.. whatever. I suggest a shot of a HALO identified weapon to accompany these.

Pretty much anything will work... as long as you can find (or DRAW) a photo of the same type of object in a futurized manner. These are just some examples I came up with off the top of my head.

Good luck, hunters! I'm looking forward to some of our sure-to-be creative results.

REACH is the correct answer.

Should we start compiling pictures so that we can find analog versions in Melissa's time?

Halo2 screenshots and others pictures from bungie.net will probably be very helpful in this.

Actually, now, I think that's exactly what she's after. We need two photos in a single email, if I'm reading this correctly; one of something real, from here and NOW, and a second one of the same thing, Photoshopp'd (or similarly edited) to look like it's aged 500+ years.

I'm DEFINITELY going to need someone with artistry skills' help...

I would postulate that if we have any decent artists who can draw/paint/sketch etc., she may accept those as well for future images. That would allow us some creative flexibility, and broaden our options.

Indeed. What have we heard in the future (via tranmissions) and know we have now?
Burritos for one :p
Cars, computers/cellphones (chatter), weapons, medical supplies, I suppose that a naval ship would be the analogous form of the space ships...

oh... this is going to be a long day on the computer. I'm not sure I even need to leave the house for this one. (internet has many many many useful pics of buildings and such.)
