So the countdown is over. Haven't received anything yet. I did notice on Presidio's website that they posted this sometime today:

So, I suspected something would be off on the whole Presidio website. So I'm bumpin' around, sniffing about, and I go to the Neural Engineering staff, and go to Alec, and what do I get?

I went to the code page, and put in the four missing words from the passages in the Oct_5 image, and got to the following URL: http://www.presidioinstitute.net/letters/desk.html.

It's got a picture of a desk with CBALtech papers among other things, and a watermark with a logo for "INFORMATION RETREIVAL AND INFILTRATION SERVICES" overlaid on it.

I can upload the pic once I figure out just how to set that up.

For those who didn't see my edit:

Email on the back of the card from those two pictures we just got through Presidio - the company's name is Global Archiving Solutions.

Went to the website (http://www.globalarchivingsolutions.net/), and it asks for a login. I tried Alec's email (or, what it would be (a.veilSPLATveilnanoscience.com)) and the password, I tried what was handwritten on the back of the card, but I got nothing from it. Wrong combo.

Huh, you're rather snappy at this.

Anyways, there's a slew of emails there between Joseph and a Tom Redding. They have a few emails worth of conversation about Alec and his disappearance, as well as an accident which seems to have taken the life of Alec's wife.

I'm going to post the correspondence here for all to read. Also, I think they're trying to tell us which emails are important - there are about 5 correspondences in the 'Saved' portion of the inbox.

Some highlights:

... but it looks like when Alec went back, they started working on a new project. Something they called "Project-77." Project-77...coincidence? Obviously not. The fact that he named the first project after returning after the site of the accident that took away his wife.

And what happened to his daughter is just...I mean something like that is just...unfair.

There was a lot of talk about Alec's research before he left. Everyone knows that what caused a lot of friction between you two. I just never understood why you never gave it up. I mean, you kept it. For what reason? Everyone in the office had your back, but no one was against letting Alec move on to something (at least in his eyes) bigger. We both know that I'd probably still be working there if you just let him have it. When you didn't, they practically put CBALtech out of business. And then the whole security breach incident, however unrelated it was, really sealed the deal for most of us.

His mother was born in Philly and she always wanted to come back. So, they settled in Cherry Hill in an nice little house 10-15 minutes outside of the city. My question is...according to the stories I've heard, Alec was in New Jersey that week to visit his parents. Jane hadn't seen them in a while, so he took her out of school for a few days to take a long weekend here. Now, if he was coming here to visit his parents, why the hell was he on the parkway going north the day he arrived?
