 		Ok, if nothing else, this discussion will help pass the time.

I submit that the delay is ENTIRELY due to in game reasons, and significant ones that they expected us to be discussing instead of complaining about the wait.

Consider the following: the entire internet knows now that Jay a) has the tape and b) knows that it's important. This means that both TTA AND Alex(assuming that he is still alive and leaving aside the possibility that Alex is the current owner of the TTA channel) know after 50 that Jay was going to watch, and then post, the tape. Isn't it likely that one or both of them would want to prevent that?

The reasons for this would be either that the tape has something Alex REALLY doesn't want people to know about, or (and this one could be either TTA or Alex) the tape is in fact somehow "dangerous"--maybe watching it led to Jay's memory loss in season 2?

 		There's no way Jay is going to tweet all of a sudden: "Oh, just found the tape! Sorry it took a week!" Troy has to have an in game reason for this, whether he planned it or not.

 		Maybe whatever is on the tape is dangerous in some way. Calls Slendy to you, erases your memory, mind rapes you, whatever. I actually would not be surprised if someone other than Jay uploads Entry 51 at this point. And I have a feeling if they do, it's not gonna be out of the kindness of their heart. It'd actually be kinda cool if we had another TTA takeover.

Or maybe Alex wanted Jay to upload whatever is on that tape. He's under The Operator's control so he can't upload it himself, so, as unsubtly as possible, he plants it in Jay's mind that he needs to steal this tape. He purposely let ninja!Jay "sneak" into his house the first time and left the tape lying out. I mean, The Operator hopped in when they started messing with the tape. There might be something on there important to the Operator that he doesn't want destroyed, but on the same note could be used against him.

Well it's not necessarily going to be something morally incriminating, it could just be information about TO's motives or something about Maskies or something?

I TOTALLY got this vibe. I mean I'm not ready to back it up 100% but it definitely crossed my mind that Alex wanted Jay to come back for the tape. I feel like he was trying to spike Jay's interest...but then again if he wanted Jay to find it, why didn't he just let him take it the first time?

The crucial difference is that Alex didn't know beforehand what Jay was going to upload footage of in Entry 49. Here, however, Jay basically said "I am now going to upload the footage of the tape that I stole from the top left hand drawer of the desk in Alex's bedroom." So in this case Alex WOULD know exactly what Entry 51 will be. But I will grant that, now the whole murder thing is out there, it would have to be something REALLY awful on that tape, or it would have to be something Alex wants to keep secret for reasons other than avoiding self-incrimination.

The other possibility is TTA doesn't want that tape online, but the tone of the recent videos has been(in their way) encouraging Jay on his current course, so, again, this tape has gotta be in some way VERY different from the ones Jay has been uploading before this.

So, actually, you are for sure right in that the tape(if we play along with the theory that something has happened to Jay) likely doesn't have anything incriminating about Alex on it, because it's hard to see how Alex's image could worsen and it seems like something TTA would encourage.



One other possibility is that watching the tape caused Jay to lose the seven months of memory before season two, so when he watched it again more recently he lost his memory again(Keep in mind that, at the start of season 2, we see Jay's hotel TV left on). Thankfully, since he already sorted through his tapes and uploaded everything relevant to the internet, all it will take is for him to watch the entirety of season 2 and look at his twitter posts to figure out what happened. But of course, it might take a while before he catches himself up. If this is true, though, it means that Jay won't watch the "56-42" tape again and that we won't get to see it either, since there's no way he'd upload something that can cause that kind of mental damage.

I've always held this belief, and I'm rarely disappointed in how often Entries fail to meet the expectations of the speculators. I think the finale will be awesome. Everything else is in limbo.
