Sorry I only made the one post and vanished. Didn't do it on purpose.

I actually forgot the bit about Alex being in The Operator's sights since childhood, that would actually be a BETTER reason for Operator to trust Alex than my flimsy reasoning of "Hey one guy's not interested". More like "Wait, that's that Alvin kid. Hi Alan! Little help for an old friend, Arthur!?"

Given recent developments, I would amend this theory to Alex knowing the Operator's intentions from the start, and convincing the Operator to just make everyone forget about their quest to the Ark, in an attempt to spare them from death. In Entry 51, posted after my original theory, we see Brian and Tim in dubious condition, but that may be how The Operator's mindwiping works, as opposed to a Jedi hand wave easy version. This could apply to Seth as well, possibly providing hope for his survival after all. Brian and Tim (or at least Tim) may escape before the process is complete.

Perhaps Entry 12, and totheark's 'THERE WAS MORE' comment might refer to Alex, upon going to kick the Operator off the shot, had him realize "AH SHIT YOU AGAIN TALL THING, what do you want now killjoy, I'm trying to make a movie." And that would be when Alex was informed his help was needed.

As for why Alex gave Jay the tapes if he knew the whole time, maybe he didn't care anymore and was just sick of it all, since he apparently ran from the Operator for 3 years after that. Like "Fine, have fun with that, I'm outta here. Hopefully a future girlfriend won't find an old camera associated with these events". He told Amy to run, saying he'd be right behind. Maybe he talked to the Operator briefly there before following Amy. "WHAT NOW?" "It's happening again Adrian. Your friend Jay has-" "OH BALLS... and get my name right."

And that's all I got right now. And for those who wondered, I'm male, 26 years old.
