In other news, I have plans of making a music video after EMH ends. Which means they'll find a way to end it in such a way as to ruin my idea. (Even though the song I wanna use is nice and open ended...)

I am seriously concerned about how long this dry patch is getting.

Ordinarily, I'd chalk it up to classes starting, except it can't just be down to that because it's been going on for so long. I can't remember the last significant content aside from the crossover video (which didn't seem to advance the plot of any of the three stories involved), a few tweets and a bunch of CYSTW posts (which likely could have been cooked up by one or two people rather than requiring the whole crew, and so represents less logistical effort than a video).

I can't remember the last time we had some content drop that appreciably advanced the plot rather than filling time and, perhaps, shining a little light on a bit of backstory here and there. Late July? Either way, it's got me antsy, the way the guys seem to have locked the series down into a holding pattern for months. I hope it's nothing more than a major logistical snag, and that once they've worked past that things will start flowing again, but given how long it's gone I'm worried that either a) the logistical snag is of sufficient magnitude that it can't be worked around and may not even go away, wrecking all their plans for the series or b) it's not so much a logistical snag so much as a profound crisis (or just plain loss of enthusiasm) in the team meaning that crucial members are either no longer able to take part or just plain don't want to keep doing it.

Either way, the guys have set up such an incredible number of different plot strands it seems hard to see how we'll get anything resembling closure on more than a tiny fraction of them. I just worry that the series is limping towards cancellation due to the gang either no longer being logistically able to produce content the way they used to or no longer having the enthusiasm to.

I mean, it's free entertainment so keeping to a schedule isn't a necessity by any means. But some sort of OOG nod that things are going to pick up significantly in the future and the plot's going to start moving again would make me enormously appreciative.

I could totally see Evan as Wolverine. Short, temperamental, armed with shiny sharp things, swears a lot, great with kids, has an eerily large fanbase amongst the fandom devoted to the medium he appears in. And he's even got the Wolverine cameo thing going now. All Evan needs to do is start smoking cigars.

Well, the kids sort of went and said that the series might be over before 2012. Personally, I think that right now, they are taking ideas down and trying to make stuff work out, but they also see that there is a lot of ground they are able to cover. So I'd consider them pondering on where to take the series rather than just waiting.
