It did not ring. This was a payphone that I submitted! They had the number, I received an acceptance email, it was listed as you can see. So add this to the approximately 10 times I went out searching for the last payphone (also never rang) that was placed in this area and I basically just have absolutely terrible luck.

I know this isn't really a product, but can I speak with customer service? Confused

Did you actually test it first? Maybe the phone wasn't working? Also, I had received calls at one payphone several times, then a few weeks ago it just stopped working, even when I tested it with my cell...

yes, i tested it about 10 minutes prior to when it was scheduled to ring. i picked up the call from myself to make sure i didn't need to put in quarters to accept the call, and it connected perfectly. i said a few words to myself to make sure the connection was good and then hung up. all this took place approximately 10 minutes prior to the posted call time.

i try to be quite thorough, and i believe this is not a user error and is, in fact, a problem on the manufacturer's (PM) side... that is part of the reason i need to speak with a customer service representative.

Oh, one more thing from my phonecall with SP. She said she listens in to all of Melissa's calls. She recognized my name from one.

She was also making fun of Melissa "making people do more crazy crew things."

Check this link for my full live call report:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=90262#90262

SP said some similar things to us Steve. She was hilarious.

Edited to add:

Adam, THANK YOU! You were great at listing the questions and making sure I had the correct answers. That was my first axon ever (I submitted it last week), and it was SO much fun.

Go Boise Sqad again. EvilJester is another one who's been working with us for a while now. Now he's Jr. Lt. EvilJester

MadCow reports he called the 11:26 axon at an applebees with no beekeepers present. So he tried to explain to the applebees staff. We'll see how it goes.

Looks like the 11:26 did not go HOT.

Report:
SP ~"I want you to talk so that Melissa get a busy signal, but not too long so I can call."

She also said that MadCow was boring, so he put on EvilJester who has purple, blue, turquiose, etc. hair (SP:you probably look beautiful .. we call him "my little pony") and a bolt through the top of his nose. She apparently liked that.

Melissa also repeated that Dana has been recruited. She wants us to suggest ways to Dana to neutralize the process.

Yep, Mallory was the employee at applebees that Mad Cow was able to coach with 1/2 the answers before he had to hang up. Apparently the SP only asks one of the questions for confirmation, not all of them.

I'm calling Mallory now to congratulate them!

EDIT: ouch, called the payphone and was told in a not so nice voice "this is applebees payphone ... *click*. Tried again and just got *click*. Maybe they don't want to be contgratulated. Confused

Okay, I hate to sound like such a newbie, but honestly I am. I just don't want to mess this up. I'm available to go pick up the call at 15:42 PDT (if I find the payphone). If I get the pre-recorded call from Melissa, the answer is Reach.
Where I'm confused is what happens if I get a Live Call. If it's a live call, I will receive a call on the payphone a little early from other beekeepers telling me what the answers are going to be? Or are these going to be all those Mutant Pig Boy etc answers. If I get asked questions too, are the answers I give her just things I'm supposed to make up, or grabbed from the storyline? I've been reading up on it as much as I can but it's a lot to absorb in one day Wink

Thanks if anyone can clear this up, I just wouldn't want to mess it up and not get the Axon Hot, but I really would like to get involved in this whole thing

EDIT: Oh yes, and for the picture thing where we take a picture and then show the future equivalent of it... is this supposed to be something around the payphone we take the call on, or anything? I've got a camera I can bring along.

DOUBLE OUCH!
Just got ahold of the applebees and they were less than happy that their phone was being used. Unhappy to the point that the manager was going to have the phone removed if the calls didn't stop, so probably not good to contact them.

Mad Cow must have gotten ahold of some member of the staff that was a little more helpful than the manager. That's the way it goes I guess.

So if the PMs are watching, PLEASE REMOVE THE 38.71053, -93.270202 AXON!!!!!

Barring that, I promised him I'd call next tues to give them the way to make the phone stop ringing all week. He seemed OK with that, but was really unhappy that his phone was being used for this. Embarassed

If it's a recorded call, the answer will just be "Reach".
If you get a live call, the SP will call you and ask you some random questions. Try not to make them too tough to remember, but the answers can be pretty much anything. She will then give you a phone number. You call this number, and you will relay your answers to the beekeeper who picks up.
If someone calls you, write down their answers or remember them as well as you can, and answer the question the SP gives when she calls.

I think we've fielded the picture thing well enough. I don't think it needs to be near the phone.

Thanks a bunch, that was a huge help in clearing things up. I'll report back on how things went (if I can find the phone :p).

Maybe if you call the direct line for Applebees and just ask for Mallory you can still get a message to him/her. It's
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
been tried already. Removed number.

oops

I too made a mistake today. I was so excited that when I heard the clip I didn't really listen all that close and was... excited! I also figured since my call was so late in the set it would've been unlocked. Sorry, I can't remember even one sentence from the "burned_out_aparment". Rookie mistake, I'll pay much more attention next time. Sad
