 		Dang, does there seem to be any rhyme or reason for who is getting these IRIS packets in the mail?

Not sure, i figured everyone would get one. But the message in the packet does say "He only trusts the best" maybe its the more active people who got them or something?

 		I don't know. I applied to the site to be a candidate about as early as everyone else, and never received the initial welcome packets. It could be certain people are receiving only certain things, but who's to say.

My question is, why send us the blueprints and the access codes? IRIS has already shown they can get inside the facility and do as they please. Maybe Cory is locked in Veil and needs a way out. All we can really do is wait to see what happens on the 25th.

 		Dang it, I hate feeling powerless.

But you're right. There doesn't seem to be anything else we can do!

Looking over those letters, the only thing I can think of is asking Joseph Silva if we could have Alec's old research, but it seems a touchy subject and I think he'd probably blow up if any of us asked him for it...

I'm glad you've seen and heard the things on Bill's blog, though - you should know what your company is doing. And honestly, I don't know who's doing what, or why - I don't know exactly who's involved and who's not. But some of the things I've read... well, let me explain. If you've read Bill's blog, you'll have seen that close-up of a scan from a bound notebook. The one that has a snippet about his daughter, Eve.

I sent him that. I received in the mail, a packet that I really shouldn't speak of, to be frank. But it was what Cory had found, and it's what got Cory into this mess. He's missing, Theresa, and has been for some time. No one knows where he is, and we've desperately been trying to find him.

The packet, though... I can't say much, but it contains journal entries from one of Veil's old test subjects. A poor, poor girl who suffered inhumanely for the sake of a company's advancement. My heart cried out to this girl, up to the very last entry where she bid the world goodbye. I can't say I feel the same way about Veil and what it's doing anymore.

There's so much information we have, bits and pieces, things we're trying to connect. But some things are just out of our reach. And while that Dataserver3SPLATveilnanoscience.com has been feeding us information, it has remained silent against our questions. It only filters out information against your company.

I let slip that someone gave Cory information. But I didn't tell her anything more than that!

Gah, how stupid of me. She could be a sleeper agent, or a spy, or anything like that! I'm usually smarter than to give out information to people.

But in the off chance she's legitimate, I'm giving her a chance. I told her to tell us if she sees anything going on in Veil's offices. When we lost Cory we lost one of our sets of eyes and ears. If she's willing to do that and if she proves useful, then maybe we should tell her...

Uh, all kidding aside, listen to me. I'm hardly the guy in the loop about all of this stuff, but even so I'd like to think that I've got a bit of an idea about what's going on. First of all, unless you physically helped drag Cory off, then your actions have only the smallest, tiniest sliver of responsibility for whatever's happened to him. You noticed an error in the pamphlets getting sent out and reported it, right? That's just you doing your job and you had no way of knowing what would happen.

Some of that responsibility lies with me too, and a lot of other people who noticed something was off about those packets. We helped find Cory's name and got in touch with you about it.

But neither you, nor I, are CULPABLE for what happened. The blame of this event doesn't rest on our shoulders. We were just trying to discover what was going on, and you weren't acting out of any sort of malice in what you did, or for that matter any sort of sinister intent. That rests on the shoulders of someone else.

I'll let you in on a secret, because I'm not going a great job putting you concerns to ease. Someone gave Cory some information I'm guessing he wasn't supposed to see. Someone set him up before these packets were even sent out, and then when he acted on his suspicions he was trying to get a message out to people, to warn them about what was going on. A message to us.

Whoever did that, and whoever took Cory away from us, those are the people whose blame this is.

Gah, I'm sorry. I'm crap at giving people pep talks. I want to assure you, what you did was just what a lot of people would do in your situation, and unless there's something else weighing on your conscious, you shouldn't feel guilty. I don't blame you at all for this, and I know Cory wouldn't.

But, if you want, you CAN help us find him and save him.

Listen, the best way you can help us right now is by telling us what's going on in Veil's offices. Did Cory just disappear one night and never show up to work? Was there any official announcement or anything at all? When Cory disappeared we lost most of our insight into what was happening within Veil. If there's anything you know, or if you find out anything, it would help us immensely if you passed it on to us.

Can you think of anything like that?

We weren't told anything at first. Then, Brandon Mass, another employee who works in research here sent out a company-wide memo about Cory going missing. That was the first I heard about it.

This place has been just...off. There isn't a lot going on anymore. Everyone in a position of power seems nervous, but they're trying their best to hide it.

 		I asked her for some proof of her alliance - as you said, she could just be reporting back to the higher-ups at Veil. I like Theresa, but I'm not about to trust her with the contents of this packet. It's heavy stuff.

EDIT: Joseph Silva just mailed me asking about the article I wrote to him with the interview about.

I'm... actually MAKING that article, which I was going to email back to him, but I never expected him to show this interest in it. I think he might want to talk more. I'll keep you informed if he says anything.

 		Definitely try to poke Silva some more - after those letters we got from the drop that liveinskin picked up, there's definitely a lot more to his involvement.

Still nothing back from Theresa. I asked her to prove herself by her own means.

 		I got the same email from Theresa.
I didnt give her any real details but asked her 2 questions:

"Does the name Albert Mansfield have any meaning to you?"

"And what do you know about Basement Sublevel 3 in the Veil Nanoscience building?"
