Edit: I just read the past few pages of posts (been out of town for a few days,) apparently everybody had this problem. I'm just wondering if anybody saw the video.

I just ran across this story and I find it really intriguing. However, this is really leaving me high and dry.

We get bits and pieces from the PM... there's no real character interaction and just a few puzzles to solve. While it's interesting, I'm really failing to see a storyline emerging or any real revelations that the code cracking has produced. Reading over the forums, I found the gamejack's intervention to be highly disruptive to the overall flow here.

It's an interesting story, but it seems... removed... and unplanned. If I was running this, I'd introduce more characters, more interactions, and just generally "puzzles with a purpose."

Other than that, the videos are impressive.

Okay, all of this cement stuff has given me a weird idea

Maybe DNC works for the state in some sort of consturction role, It would explain why he is able to walk around shopping centres and emergency vehicles without issue and "dig like no one is watching" suggests he isn't scared about being caught, maybe thats because he is in a profession where no one would question him digging and cementing a hole

Finally caught up! So glad I can be a part of this before it gets too busy. This is my first time actively participating in an ARG and it seems AMAZING.

I'm going to be a criminal researcher/forensic psychologist, so this is so much fun for me. Just to confirm: we found out it's NOT the Zodiac but it might be the Smiley Face killer? I'd have to look again, but there are other SKs that use similar calling cards/masks. My theory is that he isn't connected with any particular killer but a mash up of a lot of them. He's even got a bit of BTK in him if I recall BTK correctly... haven't studied him in a while.
One of the interesting things to note is, during the first poem (which we figured out WASN'T from the gamejacker, correct?) is very Delusional-based in nature, almost Hand of God-esque. (Delusional Serial Killers tend to think some higher power (or a demon possessed dog)are telling them to kill and if they don't then something happens. Most of them tend to have a god-complex because of this "chosen to kill" mentality) I haven't studied Zodiac or Smiley so I can't compare them, but the posting the videos and taunting with them fit the profile of the Delusional/god-complex killer; but telling people to stop trying to find information is... very odd for a Delusional-type SK, or really most SKs in general.

I'm still a freshman in college, but my Dad raised me on this stuff, so I figured I'd put my 2c in. Some of it is a bit jumbled in my head, but I thought it might help us figure... something out. Not totally sure WHAT exactly.

DNC's cement picture is so creepy. Shocked

I just listensed to MDT@S new video and I made a transcript of what I could hear from the second call. I can't make out anything in the background from the other calls. The caller sounds quite young to me.

Mmmmm and so the plot thickens and a new character is introduced.

A couple of things to ponder (could just be one, haven't slept so ... yeah)

She says she may know his father, first question obviously is how.
But branch this question out to not just how "what was her connection to him" to how "how is that possible". She sounds rather young (ok, so young being like 17-25? re the uni lecture) so what do we know about him that could justify their interaction.

(Remember I haven't slept so excuse this next question if it's previously been answered) do we know what he did for a living - or how old he was precisely.

I noticed the background talking, but I didn't realize what it was saying exactly. I wonder why she would be calling in class? Or is it a class? The first thought is that it's something like maybe she's being held captive or something but is still going to classes to not raise suspicion, so she had to call during it so she wouldn't be watched... but that doesn't make a lot of sense, honestly. It might explain the handing up and calling back multiple times though
/random conjecture

Something I havent' seen anyone touch on is the youmethem picture at the bottom of the 'last warning' video. It has once again, smiling faces, but at the bottom are female [unhappy], male [neutral] and the donotcotinue symbol [happy]. Now, taking into account the female victims and this recent picture, it's possible that the killer is Lust-driven as well as delusional. Perhaps he sees women as inferior or simply objects to be destroyed, which is common for some delusional killers. There is a famous example I can't think of right now... Jack the Rippers possibly? Something about 'cleansing the world of harlots' or something. I'd like to take a second look at the 'idol hands' video and see how the women are dressed.

There is also the me/them symbols, which are male [representing dnc himself] and the dnc logo, respectively. I'd like to think that the 'them' is the delusion that he is working for... inhuman and most likely sexless because the symbol is a crossed out circle then an actually sex symbol: a circle with an arrow or plus sign attached to it. Of course, one could also look into the alchemical meanings of those symbols, but I think I've done enough random idea throwing for one day.
