The blonde girl walking past seemed... odd. I guess she's just a random person, but the way the shot is framed, compared to the random person walking by beforehand... It's just odd.
I'm still really really confused about the 'contact me' and how that goes into the interaction because obviously, we aren't able to actually identify anyone, but he's still being pretty adamant about it.


It feels like we aren't really getting anywhere... I will be patient though.

 		As for this new video, is it just me or does the detective have an accent and an accent a whole lot like the uncles at that? I've been all up and down the US West coast and it sounds nothing like any regional accent I'd recognize, that's like almost some Nantucket type accent.

Running with it like I buy the detective's trip:

I think DNC is a deliberate red herring. His trend has been to give out more than he gets back, but he never emits anything substantive (aside from the videos of the girls, but it's a totally different MO than the MDT killer). DNC is the uncle. Maybe DNC wants us to not continue because he's not the MDT killer -- most likely suspect: dad + one other party (ceramic mask guy) -- because the son will inevitably unveil the conspiracy to ??? if someone doesn't stop him and the Uncle has some notion of fraternal duty or so on to keep the son from wrecking Dad's game by revealing ??? and as such the uncle might feel compelled to attempt to kill MDT which he would prefer not to do. In this theory, killing the girls is a warning to show "I know what's up and I will kill".

Furthermore on the point of the MOs being different, MDT Killer (aka bag face) has a distinct and drawn out ritual approach to killing. He's not just slitting throats, a la DNC, no he's not just sadistic but damn showy -- walking around showing off his gear at angles like he's a death metal lead singer all presumably as foreplay to his finale of a drawn out torturous murder. Guy was freakin' video taping himself prodding at an open wound! Multiple masks were involved, a whole abandoned house seemingly lined in plywood, extensive anticipatory time spent angle grinding his machete.

I don't think DNC has anything to do with the central mystery though he may know something useful it will be difficult to compel him to talk or say anything non-obfuscatory.

The detective I think rightly points out that we need to 1) find one of the girls or 2) find out more about dad.

Shocked Shocked Shocked I was not expecting that. I didn't think he'd actually go after the blond girl. For some reason I thought he'd go after some completely new girl.

It's a North West English accent. The Uncles accent sounded to me to have an Australian twang. Almost like he lived there for a few years.


I think stonedaffection and maximus make a good point about how DNC is linked (or maybe not linked). The only way we found his channel was because emailed the code picture to MDT. He hasn't actually indicated how he's related to the tapes or if he knew MDT's father, so he hasn't really shown any direct link yet. He's just sort of taunting us.


EDIT: Also, I'm not sure about the puzzle. The first thing that came to my mind was the symbols he had in the countdown of the last video. He has a countdown in three videos (triplets?). Only two have the same countdown of 9 - 2 (identical twins?). One has 987øντος (the odd one?). I can't get from that to an answer though, so I could just be barking up the wrong tree.
