 Updates, updates!
The mystery continues

I pointed out to Louis that there was some odd beeping with his camera, and he tweeted there might be something about it. He'll be borrowing Erica's camera and trying again later.

I'll need to rewatch that video and check for the beeps.

Also, Erica has tweeted a few times. I wonder if the repetition for tasty things is a clue or are we to deduce that she's just a foodie? Hmm. The last tweet caught my attention specifically:

Quote:
I slept particularly well last night ^.^

Besides it being the obvious, it could also be a sign of a vampire attack. In Bram Stoker's Dracula his first victim Lucy has really "vivid dreams" and intially sleeps fabulously. Although, everyone realizes that's because Dracula has put her under a trance and is slowly drinking her dry.

Just a thought!

Take Care,
Kendra

Not sure if this is off-game to bring up, but a subscriber linked to the LouisWalks YouTube channel seems to be the same guy under "Nerdbraska".
So, this confirms that the guy has more than one name (unless he has another brother that is an identical twin) and that, Louis being the more recent, would be a 'game name'. Strongly implying that this is, in fact, some sort of ARG.

On this channel you can witness the some of the same camera glitches, especially the sound clicks. So, I'm thinking this wasn't intended. This is disappointing, because that is what drew me in to the first Louis video.

I'm still keeping an eye on this, though. Let's hope there's a plan for where this is going....

Scientific names of animals
Record?

Has anyone continued listing all of the animal names Louis has mentioned so far? Just don't want to double up on work if it's done already.

Very odd indeed. He's going to have to do some more snooping and digging if he wants to figure out what is going on.

spoonhead99 listed the animals and elitepastafa pointed out the overlap is
in the Northwestern US and Eastern Seaboard so far.

I tweeted Louis earlier about his Halloween plans, so I followed up to ask if they had to be cancelled due to early snow. If so, then we'll know he's in the Eastern coast. That could help us, although his latest animal- a freshwater turtle, seems to only reside in the non-Western areas. There's also mention of a creek, so that might help too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Common_snapping_turtle_range_map.jpg

Here are the animals so far mentioned, along with the dates:
SEPT. 13
Blue Jays (no scientific name)

SEPT. 14
Odocoileus virginianus
opossum/racoon (no scientific name)

SEPT. 17
opossum (no scientific name)

OCT 16
Lontra canadensis in the creek

OCT 25
Tyto alba

OCT 30
Chelydra serpentina

Here's the weird behavior/oddities occuring with dates:

Weird Fog rolls in (Sept. 17)

Fellow bio student "slept" in the woods (Sept. 24)

Louis says his brother started acting weird, talking to himself (Sept. 26)

Heard noises, not able to sleep and Rich shows up with a hungry look (Oct. 13)

Nice, Kendra. That helps, having everything together like that. Easier to see what has been going on.

There are other species of freshwater turtle in the U.S. though. Their ranges vary so we would need to know which one specifically.

Edit: Nevermind, didn't see the blog post before putting this on here.

Ok. I've caught back up and watched the videos.

I don't know what's up with the background noise, but the way his brother talks makes me think of someone who has trouble speaking or someone who is one some medication that puts you to sleep or helps knock you out.

At least that's my take on it. The scratching is unusual, this could be some supernatural thing, but ugh, we have no indication of that yet...

Nothing for nothing?

I know the site probably has nothing to do with the mystery, but one obvious crossmatch between here:

http://outdoornebraska.ne.gov/wildlife/wildlife_species_guide/otters.asp

Quote:
Between August 1986, and March 1991, releases were completed at seven sites including the South Loup River in Custer County, the Calamus River above Calamus Reservoir in Loup County, the North Platte River above Lake McConaughy, the Platte River near Kearney, the Cedar River in Wheeler County, the Elkhorn River in Antelope County and the Niobrara River in Sheridan County. With adequate legal protection as an endangered species and the continued availability of suitable habitat, otters are expected to expand their range from these release sites into suitable areas throughout Nebraska.

and here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colleges_and_universities_in_Nebraska

is

http://www.unk.edu/biology/

No woods, but there is a creek.

I think she works in the cafeteria. Her tweet tonight mentions hating people that don't put their trays away. And an earlier tweet talks about jocks trying to get food after it closes.

Not sure this qualifies as breaking news but I need to contribute that's just the way I am. Very Happy Besides, booba, a Young Frankenstein quote ALWAYS gets my attention.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What a filthy job.
Igor: Could be worse.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: How?
Igor: Could be raining.

Narrowing it down
Louis walks and tweets

I asked Louis about the snow and he said he had "pleasant weather, but that might not stick."

So looks like no where in the Northeast- with the exception being parts of Maryland. He's COULD be in Columbia, MD, as I know of someone there who told me that the early-early snow didn't cause him problems. But Erica confirms it's warm and sunny, so maybe not.

Nebraska still seems like a legit possiblity.

Also following Erica's tweets it seems like she works in the cafeteria? Makes sense as she was talking about making food and how people in the cafe behave. Also would explain how she saw Rich the brother at work but then he just stared at her. Rich mentioned something about the cake there too. Hmm. I wonder if we could get Erica to do something with Rich's food. I'd suggest truth serum, but that doesn't really work as well as it does in the movies.

Weird that the jocks seem to repeatedly be trying to go to the cafe late to get food. Unless the noise Erica hears isn't them but something else.

I have tried tweeting her, but she doesn't seem to respond. No details on how/why she slept really well one night, but we'll see as the days go on.

Louis also mentioned getting footage of the brother tody and an update later. Hmm. I should try updating our list to include oddities from Erica too.

Take Care,
Kendra

EDIT: I totally agree with you whitecross8! Erica seems to work in the cafeteria. I wonder if we can ask her to do something to Rich's food. Just not sure what or if we can.

Alright, after watching the videos, I was reminded of the book "The Mothman Prophecies" by John Keel. More specifically, it reminded me of the descriptions of the "Men in Black" in the book and how they were described as having robotic like speech and really peculiar mannerisms. Rich's actions really sort of mimic that. The big question was whether the "Men in Black" were of this dimension or another, aka "interdimensional beings". The Men in Black get brought up a lot in relation to Skinwalker Ranch. Skinwalker Ranch is aptly named after "Skinwalkers." This is getting very interesting!

Themes so far
Biol/Genetics

Hi guys,
Thanks Kendra for 'answering my call' for the list of animals. I notice that Biology and Genetics are featuring. Louis knows his animals, Shorty knows her genetics, and dude in the forest was in Louis' biol class. I think the caffetteria is connected. I won't offer my prediction.
