I don't think Troseph is going to pass such a thing off as mere scenery, especially considering there was a water bottle in one of the closets. Early on in Marble Hornets, they were making stuff up as they went along, but recently Troy has stated that they're going to make everything from Season 1 fit in with the rest of the series.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But they've also mentioned that some things could be red herrings, like BONE turned out to be.

Sure, he could've have been coughing, if anything it's to be expected, but... what I don't get is, why does Tim need to be under a blanket to cough? Are you saying that they mean something? Or did I understand this the wrong way?

SecretPerson: And coughing. I can't imagine why Tim would want to sleep in a burned-out hospital of all places, considering he has a blanket with him in this entry. Like you said, Slenderchills.

Maybe the blankets were significant in that they show that Tim has been here for a while and is not being taken care of/taking care of himself (they are really shitty blankets) or being treated badly by Alex or whatever, if the theory that he's been taken prisoner is true. But are they plot relevant? I don't really think so. So while I think they work as an indicator of Tim's physical/mental state possibly, I don't think they'll show up again.
Quote:

SecretPerson: Not necessarily. If you look closely, you can see a water bottle laying in the red tower in Entry #21. If I remember correctly, there was also another water bottle laying in Jay's car after he woke up from the seven months. The water bottles are basically for marking places where Tim has been.

I never noticed that! What a keen eye you have :O while that is interesting, how do we know it means Tim has been there? What if it's to show Jay is also getting Slenderchills and drinking a lot of water? The water bottle at the red tower I'm not sure about. I hate to use anecdotal evidence again, but hardcore water drinkers (holllaaaa) tend to carry their water everywhere with them, especially if they need it at a moment's notice. Why would he leave it behind? What could that signify? Unless the bottle is empty in which case, what if it's just a piece of trash?

Or do you mean that they're "markers" in the OOG sense, symbolic? If that was your argument...well, I'm still not sure about that. I'm sticking with my original statement for that too I guess.

That's still up in the air, although Tim definitely likes water. Razz

Well, sure! I must admit I was firmly in the TTA=/=Masky camp earlier in the series, but in light of new evidence the fact that Timasky is drinking shitloads of water makes a lot of sense when compared with all the water imagery in the TTA videos. Have you ever been in a state where you're constantly thirsty? No matter how much you drink it's always there, that itch. Water is always on your mind, you're always craving it, always thinking about getting it. It's kind of hellish sometimes. If TTA and Tim are one and the same (my "ifs" are to avoid conflict, natch) then what if all the water imagery is representative of just how sick Tim is?

I'm about to go off on a possibly crazy rant here, bear with me.

So what if the constant thirst is driving him bonkers? Hence the insanity in the videos (if he's TTA) and the inability to communicate? Maybe it's a personal hell kind of thing--the Slendersickness manifests itself in whatever way is worst for a person. For Tim it's thirst, for Alex it's rage, for Jay...fear maybe? The differences in their symptoms being different would make sense if this was the case, because it doesn't manifest itself the same way each time, instead molds itself around the personality of whoever has it. Alex, who was already sort of aggressive to begin with, went completely off the deep end and killed a dude with his bare hands. Jay, who from the looks of things tended to be non-aggressive and quiet even before the Slendysickness, became so paranoid of everything he barricaded his door with a couch. I'm not sure where the thirst for Tim comes in, but we don't know him too well before he gets sick anyway. It could play off a desire or something.

This post marks my first real "theory". Yay Very Happy

We should start a water lover's club. Laughing

Oh my god, this conversation is making me really thirsty.

I just thought the blanket thing was a strange coincidence. It could be a red herring, but I'm just theorizing, after all.

I don't know why he even needed a blanket in the first place. The blanket reminded me of the bed-closets in the house exploration entries, so I figured he might have been coughing/hiding out in those closets as well. Perhaps it's a phase that many of the Slendyvictims go through before succumbing to insanity/TTA-ness/whatever.

That reminds me: Jay got teleported into the bed-closet during Entry #23. When he walked out, there was a Masky mask hanging right outside. Considering that was a place where Masky probably spent some considerable time in, I thought it was important.

This would probably be another instance like BONE. It could be a red herring, but time will tell. I was just making a theory.

Look at how clean Tim has kept Brian's house. I wouldn't be surprised seeing Tim litter everywhere.

I meant they just showed where Tim has been.

As for the random water bottle in the car, I guess we might find out in Entry #52 (or whatever entry is going to conclude the seven months). Or maybe a TTA video.

I'll have to rewatch that, because I didn't notice any significant change in lighting.

And best known for playing an actor. He's like the MH's low budget Richard Dreyfus.

I'm still certain that Tim was just randomly in 51 because it was the moment he lost whatever remaining sanity he had, leading into El Masquerito del Alabama

I'm guessing that by "Masquerito" you meant to say "Masky", cause that doesn't make any sense in Spanish. It's actually "La Mascarita de Alabama"
Not that anyone asked.

I really, really want the bullet casing to be explained, but it's probably another red herring. :'(
