I wonder if we could get Erica to do something with Rich's food. I'd suggest truth serum, but that doesn't really work as well as it does in the movies.

Weird that the jocks seem to repeatedly be trying to go to the cafe late to get food. Unless the noise Erica hears isn't them but something else.

I have tried tweeting her, but she doesn't seem to respond. No details on how/why she slept really well one night, but we'll see as the days go on.

Louis also mentioned getting footage of the brother tody and an update later. Hmm. I should try updating our list to include oddities from Erica too.

EDIT: I totally agree with you whitecross8! Erica seems to work in the cafeteria. I wonder if we can ask her to do something to Rich's food. Just not sure what or if we can.


My guess is she is already tampering with the food.
EDIT: First sorry for the multiple posts, still getting the idea with all this.
Second, and more importantly, the weekend of the 24th-25th September is critical. Rich started acting weird on Monday the 26th Sept. On the 25th, Louis tweets that something was weird and he directs us to his blog But there are blogs only for the 24th and 30th. Anyway, on the 24th (maybe he means 25th?) he found the biol student in the forest, on the 30th he blogs that his brother went weird on the 26th.

Erica gets a twitter account on 26th Oct. What was she busy doing before her life on Twitter began?

I tweeted Louis earlier about his Halloween plans, so I followed up to ask if they had to be cancelled due to early snow. If so, then we'll know he's in the Eastern coast. That could help us, although his latest animal- a freshwater turtle, seems to only reside in the non-Western areas. There's also mention of a creek, so that might help too.

Sorry Argal, I should have been more specific. When I put in no scientific name, I meant that Louis didn't put it in his blog. I thought that was odd.

He'd put in the scientific names for the deer, the otter and barn owl- but not for the bluejay or opossum?

Erica is now answering my tweets, so perhaps we'll be able to get more down to the food mysteries. Maybe we can help her with her homework.

My bad. So maybe the clue is in the scientific names or vice versa in those named using common names.

Has woods to the East, a creek, close enough to have had otters migrate to in 20+ years. Looks like a hit. Probably we should treat this as "Out Of Game" unless it becomes a part of our little mystery.

Yay! Looks like Louis will post in a little bit. Very cool. Not much else to report for now. But as I'm looking through Erica's twitter account, I noticed she's a follower of Anne Rice. Could be nothing... or vampirism is involved!

Or perhaps they're all be secretly attacked by Weird Al, who Erica also follows.

Just wanted to put that out there.

I think you are too desperate for clues. Just because she's a follower of someone who wrote some vampire novels does not mean they are being stalked by vampires. In fact, I would be surprised if Erica ends up having a significant role in this at all, other than as flavor.

 		Well, if this ARG ever gets to the point where there is a drop or anything, I go to school in Lincoln, NE, which is close to Seward (Where Concordia University is) so I could be of assistance.
Right now, Louis' brother just seems like he's tweaking out, and nothing really has changed much about his behavior, so I'm reserving judgement. Just putting that into the universe.

Erica being an Anne Rice follower may or may not have any significance, I just wanted to put that out there whilst we were waiting for any new developments. As I said in the post earlier, she also follows Weird Al too. So that doesn't mean anything necessarily.

I am looking for patterns, and I thought it was interesting that Louis's twitter account doesn't have any followers- whilst Erica (who supposedly is less social media savy?) actively follows other people.

Just got through watching the other video Louis posted, didn't notice anything much more odd rather than Rich's behavior. Some observations I made:

-Louis is trying to test Rich on their past and so far Rich hasn't taken the bait. Didn't say anything about Louis' behavior as a kid or what the two of them used to do together during playtime.

-Louis notes there are lots of "spooky trees" around. I wonder if that will mean something later on.

-It is only a shadow, but when the video cuts to the shadows of Louis and Rich on the bank- you see a black circle or something in the tree branches. Might not be anything or it could just be a bird's nest, as Erica pointed out later in the video there are cardinals about.

-Why was Rich directing Louis to one particular spot in the woods? Also- it looks like Rich had issues with trying to cross water streams?

- Besides genetics class Erica also has other two English classes- World Literature and another one requiring a creative project. Dunno if that will be important later, but she does complain about homework a lot.

I'll have to try to suggest a few things to Louis to see if that helps in the behavior. Although, like Louis, I'm not sure what we're supposed to be doing to help him out.

 		I've been out of the game for too long and am looking for something to get back into ARGing. This one looks fun so far. Just the right level of normality to begin with, but you just know that all kinds of spooky stuff is going to go down before long. Smile

Yeah, that's the impression I got too. Maybe we should encourage Louis to try and check out those areas where Rich seemed to be avoiding? I wonder if the place that Rich seemed to be walking away from when he appeared to be stalking Rich and Erica would tie in roughly with one of those areas?

 		Pattern, pattern- who's got the pattern
Not quite sure yet.
I'll have to comb through the video footage again, but it does look like there there is some bison, cattle or something in the first frame of the video.

I'm trying to look for patterns, specifically with the animals and came up with bubkiss. Best I could do was that perhaps they were all migrating animals (could explain why Rich doesn't want Louis going too far north). However, cardinals don't migrate- so there goes that theory. I'll have to try reading this article I found about infectious diseases and migration, perhaps there may still be a link. http://www.sciencemag.org/content/331/6015/296

Also updated the animals list and the weird behaviors list. I'm still not seeing a pattern if there is one.
