I am bumping this thread for some advice. I have been looking around here for a while, getting ideas and trying to write a script for my own series. I have about six or so episodes written out so far. The question I have is, Is there anything that you guys (and gals) are sick of seeing in slendervlogs? And is there anything that you guys want to see more of?

I've mentioned this before but it's worth repeating.

I'm sick of audio distortion that makes me want to rip my headphones out from the pain. It doesn't need to be that loud and shrill to make me go "Oh shit, Slendy!"

I really like the sort of muffled/garbled distortion effect a lot more than the "MY BEAUTIFUL EARS ARE RUINED!" effect. I actually find it scarier, especially when it sounds like you're hearing the events from underwater.

Another thing I like is a more aggressive/deadly Slendy, with some sort of impression of a face. I loved how in Entry #43 and MLAndersen's "The Alley", it almost looked like He was smiling. I'm probably alone there.

Yeah, an excellent scene.

TheDeadAreWatching has a proactive Slendy, who seems like a priest than a man in a suit. Seriously creepy there.

What do you want to see added to the Slender Man Mythos?
Things that've never been tried before that you think COULD work.

I've seen a few threads about what people don't want to see in Slender Man series, things that they think adding to the mythos wouldn't work. My question, what DO you think could be added to the mythos.

Things that've never been tried before that you think COULD work. To avoid redundancy.

it has been done alot of times, but i always like to see series that are based around the concept of what happens emotionally and mentally to the victims of slenderman, more than the physical sickness and the mystery behind slenderman. the attraction of slenderman is that there is no reason for his stalking, no explanation, and i think that a series that carves out it's own little niche and focusses on the severe mental effects of the characters would be great.
a few series have come close to this.
004steps: the latest videos seem to show something similar to this
PunishingPrometheus: seems to follow the similar lines, or that it may turn into a more psychological series.
MLAndersen0: perfect example really, the mindfuck of Michael/Patrick is brilliantly executed.
EMH: all the stuff with Evan/HABIT is done well
ObservedOperator: though its still in the early stages, im getting this vibe that its going to be psychological based, mainly due to the obviously low budget and cast for the series.

btw, i know i mention PunishingPrometheus and ObservedOperator in nearly every post i write, but its purely because these are my favourite series so far that arent in the top 3. though ObservedOperator is in its very early stages, i do like that ive been watching it from the beginning. and punishingprometheus has been going in quite a few new directions which is always refreshing.

anyway, thats my 2 pennies, less physical sickness and more mindfucks.

yes please! It seems as if now the cough doesn't really serve a purpose anymore. It's there just to make sure we know it's a Slenderseries...

I am taking all these ideas to heart. I'm not gonna half ass it and make a subpar vlog.
