Re: [OT] Introduce Yourself!
Meet your fellow players.

Might as well, since I'm new here.

So, what do you like to be called? Just Hylianhero or if you're lazy, HH7.
How did you get into Marble Hornets? Mainly through LittleKuriboh, although I was also introduced to it in a roundabout way through BEN DROWNED. I'm super hooked on the mythos now.
Favorite books/movies/games etc? Too many to list, and to be honest, my tastes are pretty mainstream, nothing terribly unusual.
Played any other ARGs? Which? I follow other Slendyvlogs but the first ARG I was ever introduced to was BEN DROWNED and it scared the living crap out of me.
The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? Very slim, unless The Operator has developed an irrational fear of lamps.
Anything we should know about you? Not that I can think of now, but I'm sure you'll get to know me as I keep posting here more.

So, what do you like to be called? Well, oh here I am cool with redherring (obviously), or red, or herring. You can also call me Ryan, since it's pretty much my name in real life.

How did you get into Marble Hornets? My friend Dave found out I had seen and liked David Lynch's 'Mulholland Drive' and told me that I would probably like this YouTube video about this Slenderman thing. A few days later, I finally got around to watching it… and watched every entry from Season One in one day.

Favorite books/movies/games etc? As cliche as it is anymore on uF, I actually sincerely enjoyed 'House of Leaves'. I'm also a huge fan of the Ender saga by OSC, Lord of the Flies, and (more recently) William Gardner Smith's 'The Stone Face'.

As far as movies go, well… lots of things. 'Mulholland Drive', 'Pan's Labyrinth', and 'Everything will be OK'/'I am so proud of you' are probably top of the list.

I don't play many games, but Super Mario RPG is pretty much the best game ever made. So there's that.

Played any other ARGs? Which? Played, no. Missed out on a lot of them and caught up after they were pretty much done. I do follow a few Slendervlogs though (MH, TT, DH, MLA).

The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? Flying Insect Killer? Hmm… wonder how that'll end up working out for me. (I'll be dead pretty quick.)

Anything we should know about you? I'm a film student (*le gasp*), love making short films, etc. Uhm… I'm a pretty rad dude? And stuff?

So, what do you like to be called? Casey, czaaaaaa is fine too.

How did you get into Marble Hornets? I had a friend that never leaves the internet show me it right around the end of season one.

Favorite books/movies/games etc? Movie? I can't pick. Something with Clark Gable though. Book? Don Juan by Lord Byron.

Played any other ARGs? Which? I read Rubyquest? That's it. I'm pretty new to the whole ARG thing.

The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? A bottle of Sambuca. I am unstoppable.

Anything we should know about you? I solve all of my marble hornets riddles with storytelling logic as opposed to actual evidence.

So, what do you like to be called?

Kevin Smile

How did you get into Marble Hornets?

Found out about it while talking about found-footage horror on a guitar fx website

Favorite books/movies/games etc?

Not much of a reader, my favorite books are the non-fiction political kind, and critiques of music and music theory. I also love Get Fuzzy collections Smile

Movies? Found footage horror is my favorite genre, but I've also been known to have a soft spot for film noir and indie films in general

Music (not much of a gamer)? Post-Punk, Shoegaze, Art Music in general, and I'm fairly active in my local scene

Played any other ARGs? Which?

Cloverfield

The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances?

Not good. Condoms.

Anything we should know about you?

I love found footage horror, and I feel like I'm missing a ton of movies out there, would love to know about them, and any other online series that are worth my time (I follow many of the Slender Man Mythos series, so anything similar to found footage that I do not know about would be great!)

Also, I play in a band Smile

http://thecommonmen.bandcamp.com
http://www.facebook.com/thecommonmen

We're currently waiting for our album to be officially entered in the Pandora Music Genome Project. I'm slightly excited Smile

You should check out the Louise Paxton vlogs, if you haven't already. Not a Slenderseries, though there are some similarities. I finished watching it a few days ago, and I'm still creeped out by it...

The acting is pretty impressive, but Louise is actually kinda annoying at times, just to warn you: http://www.youtube.com/user/LouisePaxton

How did you get into Marble Hornets? Unexplained-Mysteries forum. Lurked it for a long time and finally decided to watch those videos people had been posting in it.
Favorite books/movies/games etc? Not a huge reader or gamer =( I like a lot of horror films, especially 80s stuff like F13 and ANOES. I also like kaiju and stuff like that, and comedies and anime.
Played any other ARGs? Which? Well, I fumbled around 1-18-08 for a bit when it started. Otherwise nope.
The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? LAMP ATTACK
Anything we should know about you? I lurk a lot more than I post

If either of you have never seen the Japanese film "Noroi", seeing it is a thing you must do.

^ This.

Ya'll ever seen Home Movie? Freaky crap, that film. What got me into FFH. I've been debating watching The Poughkeepsie Tapes, I've heard good things about it and bad things about it.

My name's Laura. You can call me Laura.
Got into MH when it was mentioned on a forum.
Books: Letters to a Young Poet, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Lolita although reading is one of my favorite things to do so it's painful to only list a few.
Movies: Fight Club, Star Wars (episodes IV, V, and VI although I can lightly appreciate the prequel trilogy,) the Back to the Future trilogy, and nearly any Tom Hanks movie.
T.V: Arrested Development, Scrubs, Dragonball (excluding DB GT because it was so bad that I got embarrassed just typing it,) and Misfits.
Music: Frank Sinatra, Cat Power, Nirvana, Arctic Monkeys, Massive Attack, The Cars, Low, and Manchester Orchestra, among many others.
Games: The Legend of Zelda series will forever be my favorite.
The object to my left is a space heater awe how cute at least I'll be nice and toasty when I die.
And 'anything we should know about you?' Um I like to read and I like fashion and I play a mean game of checkers.

Re: [OT] Introduce Yourself!
Meet your fellow players.

So, what do you like to be called? You can call me Tim if you want. Or any variation on my username (its the internet after all).

How did you get into Marble Hornets? Someone posted it onto the MLG forums (Major League Gaming) and I watched the first four entries and almost crapped myself (to be fair it was about 1 am and my lights were all out and my roommate was about 6'4"). That was when entry 18 was the latest.

Favorite books/movies/games etc? HUGE Halo fan, Harry Potter (I play on my schools quidditch team). Also I'm a jazz major, so I love tons of music of all varieties. Mostly: Beach Boys, Queen, Non Phixion, Binary Star, Sun Ra, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Peter Brotzmann, Dave Brubeck.

Played any other ARGs? Which? None whatsoever.

The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? Ritz Bits peanut butter crackers...

Anything we should know about you? I'm a jazz and computer science double major and apparently I love parentheses. (Also trying to listen to The Common Men, but my internet is being crappy...)

So, what do you like to be called? You can just call me SecretPerson. Or Secret. Or just SP. Whatever.
How did you get into Marble Hornets? I found out about Slenderman while browsing creepypasta about a year and a half ago, which led me into finding out about Marble Hornets (Entry #23 just came out when I found it IIRC). The plot had me instantly hooked. However, I didn't know this forum existed until more recently.
Favorite books/movies/games etc? My favorite book series would be Incarceron. I haven't watched a ton of movies. As for games, my favorite games would be Team Fortress 2 and Ratchet and Clank.
Played any other ARGs? Which? The only Slendyvlog I've laid my eyes on other than MarbleHornets is EverymanHYBRID. I don't think I'll enjoy TribeTwelve.
The object to your immediate left is your only weapon against the Operator. What are your chances? There's nothing to my immediate left except for the hallway leading to the dining room of my house. I guess I'll just make like Jay and get the hell out of the Operator's territory.
