Not sure if this has been addressed, but I've noticed a motif of returning home that's run through the entire series, recurring frequently in the recent entries.

  • Marble Hornets seems to be about a man returning home.
  • "HOME" was on one of the scribblings in Alex's apartment
  • Jay, and apparently Tim, are returning back to where it all began.

I'm sure there a more, if anyone could help me out that would be great. Probably doesn't have huge significance, just something I've been picking up on.

Quite an astute observation. Let us not forget that alex and brian's "home" is where jay began taping things for himself.

Just some basic points:

A.) Slendy caused the 7 month gap, somehow.
B.) Jessica coughing with "slender sickness" maybe this contributed to her blackout?
C.) Tim put on some weight, boy!
D.) [meta] Alex is not dead, or we wouldn't have a S3.

Oh, Alex could be dead and still appear in S3. There are a lot of events in the past that were likely filmed that we still don't know/haven't seen. It is quite likely that Tim or somebody has been stockpiling footage that he stole from Alex or filmed himself or whatever.

Also I don't think I saw this idea anywhere; it's great to see it as Jay attacking Slenderman, but maybe it's actually Slenderman pulling Jay in towards him somehow. The arm-raise seems to indicate this.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or maybe he just thought Jay wanted a hug.

Wait, guys, how does the footage of Jay tackling Slendy end up in the safe if he goes unconcious right after that?

One thing I'm thinking of is: If Slenderman was angry at Jay and Jessica, why didn't he kill them right then and there instead of just wiping their memories? Why does it seem like the Operator can't kill anyone himself?

Holy shit... umm... wow. That's a good question.

I would think that the tape would still be in the camera when Jay woke up, and he simply put a new tape in when he began recording more and kept the old one.

However that would beg the question: Why didn't he watch the tape at the beginning of the season?

So ignore my idea, I think I just proved myself wrong lol. Good question though.

That was actually my first thought after the initial "HOLY SHIT SLENDERTACKLE" shock wore off. It seems so weird and out of character for jay to get some balls.

Considering Jay managed to put his camera back up on the tripod, he could've added the tape to the safe as well.

Hmm, that's a very interesting question. Perhaps he had Jay unconsciously put it in there.

Good catch! As someone else mentioned, who the frack knew the code and wrote it down for Jay (since it probably was not Jessica) since only Jay and Jessica knew the code? Maybe TiMasky somehow got a hold of the tape, viewed it, and chucked it in the safe for Jay with the others. When he attacked Jay, it was to encourage him to leave since the Operator had already shown up at least once at the hotel.

Not 100% sure but I think Rosswood is Alex's hometown, considering he grew up with the stories of the woods.

On a side note, this series is playing off alot like a play. Act 1 being the introduction to the conflict/ introducing characters. Act 2 going deep into the conflict, and Act 3 will most likely be the resolution of the conflict. That being said, in most plays the Climax is almost immediately before the end of Act 3 so this is most definitely not a climax but an introduction to the conclusion, which this entry does very well.

I'd say that's not the case, because even though the series is full of red herrings, they're pretty clear communicators. What I mean is that if something's insinuated, it can be wrong, but if they actually show something that looks a lot like Jay charging, it's probably Jay charging.
