I'm just proud of Jay for being, well, brave, for once.

J's always struck me as a pretty brave dude. He constantly put himself in dangerous situations in seasons 1 and 2, and he did it all because he wanted to help his friend.

On a side note, when J said "I'm going to make sure Jessica gets away no matter what I have to do" my first thought was "Oh shit, he's gonna have to kill Alex, isn't he"

EDIT: Also, Tim was a decent ways from that tree, can we even be sure it was his property? Troy may have seen it and thought it'd be a good thing to have in the shot.

EDIT 2: Also, we know Tim doesn't live in that area, hence why J wanted to find out what he was doing there, which makes the bottle tree as being his doing less likely.

There's this thing called moving. Its pretty cool.

I don't know about you, but wearing a China Doll mask, sending cryptic messages via YouTube, Stalking people while they sleep in their own home, etc is very "Normal".

Did you watch the same Entry #52 the rest of us did? I'm referencing Jay's indication that Tim is acting "normal" when we see him. Jay's own words.

Also, did anyone get a majorly cool "im a badass 1940s noir detective" vibe from tim as he lit up that cigarette?

I did. And it's one of the things I'll never be able to do again, now that I've quit smoking by default. :/

(I was really sick for two weeks, and now I can't stand cigarettes.)

Considering the closest things to dwelling places of Tim's we've seen are the closet in Brian's abandoned house and that one room in that burned out building, I somehow doubt he owns property, much less a tree, in this particular town.

Off topic, but I've seen enough friends and family try to quit smoking to know that it can be very difficult, so congrats on that, dude.

Mte! Too lazy to go find my post, but I said something along these lines Very Happy S3 will end with either A) Jay killing Alex himself or B) Alex realizing what he has become and getting redemption via heroic sacrifice and dying as himself. (trope overload to the max!)

Mark my words. One of these two ways.

I personally hope it's the latter because no matter what the outcome, Jay is gonna have a break-the-cutie moment and become majorly depressed anyway, so at least he shouldn't end up as an unwilling murderer to add to his misery, cause seriously guys, there's no way this series will end in a "happy" note.

I'm pretty split, honestly. Both would work narrative-wise, although the former would make for a much darker ending--He Who Fights Monsters. It's been shown and stated over and over that Jay, while he has moments of assertiveness, is not an aggressive person. He avoids conflict unless it's absolutely necessary, and tends to back down a lot (although this has changed recently, e.g. Entry 47). So to have him actually kill Alex out of desperation, to keep him from killing anyone else, would be a huge moment for him.

On the other hand, Redemption Equals Death seems kinder to both characters. Alex gets to Die As Himself, Jay gets to meet Alex one last time (because you can bet that if Alex is pulling a heroic sacrifice, Jay and/or Amy have something to do with it). But honestly, I don't see how this series could possibly end WITHOUT a break-the-cutie. If it hasn't happened already, that is =X

Or they could have it end on a really dark note, and have Alex kill Jay--the last person left--only to realize he is still just as trapped as he ever was, but now he's alone with no chance of escape. *shudder*

I kind of like that ending.

Jessica had to have met Masked Tim before to not mess up the surprise attack, or Jessica can still function quickly during high stress when she clearly lost her shit seeing the gun. I think both could be valid.

I figure she didn't say anything because he was obviously going after Alex. But damn, when Tim leaned out from behind that wall, I was still creeped out, even though I already assumed he was there to help. Makes me wonder what was up with #33. Was Tim trying to hurt them because he was pissed that they left him behind, or was he trying to forcefully take them somewhere safe.

I love how the last entry and TTA video of the season share a striking resemblance.

Tim and Masky. Walking down a street in opposite directions. Tim by day. Masky by night. They truly are two sides of the same coin.

So, anybody else wanna spec on where Masky was before his crowning moment of awesome, since he's obviously not behind the partition when the trio climbs the stairs?

Don't do that. *mind blown*

I'm not sure I do--it's kind of horrifying to me :/ and while I love scary, I'm not sure I like horrifying...

Great entry! The perfect way to end the season. A few things I want to point out:

Everyone is talking about Jay "lunging" at The Operator. To me it seemed more like he was being sucked towards him (reminiscent of when Alex was drawn towards him in the woods).

Did anyone notice that when Jay goes to bed his laptop is on, but when he wakes up due to Jessica screaming the TOP HAS BEEN CLOSED? Either Jay closed it at some point during the night, Troseph simply made a continuity error, or The Operator was browsing slendy-porn and didn't want to get caught (at least he can't go blind; having no eyes finally has an advantage). Razz

Did anyone also notice that Jay didn't take off his shoes when he went to bed?
