No. Personally, I still think the Hint we got was pointing towards how the password was capitalized (Case Sensitive).

tried "helpher" and "helpherplease"

went to 96% before lockout.

Edit: Just a thought. Does it HAVE to be in latin? After all,
----------/---/------/----
----------/she/cannot/know

just need something for the first 10 spots, and it fits in English.

slenderman is ten letters.

Still getting 96% til lockout.

Anyone got a ROT13 translator? I'll try the whole Latin->Rot thing tonight before I pass out if you get it to me.

I did try translating some of the possible passwords to Rot13, yes. And Rot47. No luck.

If you want to try it yourself, though. You can just look up Rot13 translators online. Here's one: http://rot13.com/

How did "I am the Lord of my fortune" lead the person to Invictus? I'm curious.

Also, the 3rd stanza of the poem sticks out to me...

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

Curious...

I looked up the other possible translations for "Lord" and "fortune" and got "Master" and "fate." "I am the Master of my fate" is a line from Invictus.

Well that makes sense, but it's a bit like grasping at straws right? Seems more like coincidence to me.

Well, the phrase "I am the Lord of my fortune" wasn't giving me any leads as to what the password might be. The phrase as it stands like that didn't give me any useful hits on google. That was the only translation of it that led me further. If you can find another possible route from a different translation, by all means, take it!

she can not know

translates to

non potest cognoscere
(3) (6) (10)
in Latin

just need something that fits in and translates to a 4 letter word. In Latin.

then I can test again.

When I plugged in Dominus/fortunae/meae/sum into my iGoogle translator as it was given to us...well...

Dominus/fortunae/meae/sum

becomes

The Lord / fortune / my / I

Dominus isn't Lord. It's THE Lord, ie "God Almighty" ("Ominus Dominus" ring any bells?)

Maybe this password is less about being a lord, and more about God?!

And before somebody tries pulling the religion card on me, I'm Buddhist.

Keep trying. I have work in 6 hours, so I need to stop for now. I'll keep trying tomorrow sometime.

Hey guys, I lurk here, but I wanted to clear this up: the word "dominus" in Latin has no inherent connect to "Lord" in a religious sense. Of course it has that connotation now as a result of the growth of Christianity coming about through the Roman empire, but if we are purely working with the language, then there is nothing to suggest it is refers to any god. It would be the title a slave would refer to his master, or a similar relationship. Nothing more. I speak from three years of experience with Latin.

So the point is I don't think this will help us crack the password.
