Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I hope TJ is reading the topic. I would like to know what went wrong. did we just not solve the password or was it actually corrupted/typoed password or did we actually succeed sending MM out to there but editing got in the way.

Have we gotten confirmation that we failed and the series is over?

I guess not, but we still have yet to crack the password and there are 9 hours left. We have much left to do.

We talked about forcing the password earlier, has anyone tried it, it's our best chance.

I provided the names of 2 .rar password cracker programs yesterday which I noted had limitations in the free versions. Hopefully someone has bought the full version and is trying to brute-force the file as we speak.

Breaking this password requires 2 weeks - 5 months with multicore and GPU-support (26 unknown characters, or 29 with slashes). And I don't have such program.
Also, file compressed, so no advanced options(
Dictionary? Probably, but we don't have 5-10 more days and it needs A LOT of work.
EDITed.

That's what I gathered just from looking at how the programs I looked at operate. The longer the password, the longer it takes to brute-force it. With this password having up to 26 characters in it you would have to dedicate quite a bit of processing time for it to go through all combinations on your average home computer. This password almost requires a Cray computer to crack it in the time we have left, or at least a computer a whole lot more powerful than most of us probably own. If we were gonna brute-force it, we probably should of been doing that as soon as we got the file. Even then that would have meant someone leaving there computer on 24/7 for a LONG period of time.

So... if there's no way of brute forcing the password in time, and we're stuck on actually solving it, either we better hope that Servus gives us some last minute help, or Andrea's screwed.

I think those are our only options left. Maybe we should start desperately begging Servus for help?

Not an option then, to best Mantain efficiency, from now to the end of the day, take a ten minute brake every hour to list passwords you have used, we can then know what to avoid using.

I had sent a note to Servus a couple of days ago on the Tumblr account requesting further help and got no reply. I have been checking both of my e-mail accounts as well as the Tumblr on a daily basis and Nada. Servus has not been to forthcoming on that part.
