Oh man, you got a t-shirt! Awesome. Those are really cool.

When I went to retrieve my icefly, I was wandering around looking for the rep, and this guy in an icefly shirt came up and said "You look like you're looking for someone." And I was like "I am looking for someone wearing your shirt!" It was one of those moments where you say something horrendously awkward and hope no one notices. Fortunately, he didn't seem to care. I wondered why nobody said anything about the t-shirt. It makes perfect sense, the rep you met was wearing the t-shirt. The rep I met was probably suppose to also, if for nothing more than an easy way to identify them as being part of the event.

Did everyone that got an Icefly yesterday get the Above and Beyond achievement on their profile yet? I got the Dallas Icefly, but I didn't get the achievement. Wondering if I should contact support.

UPDATE
I emailed support and they added the achievement! They are arranging an exchange for me as well. The black stick the Icefly rests on is bent, making the Icefly lean up against the tube and its putting pressure on the wings. I want to take care of the problem now rather than a month down the road when the wing falls off.

Support is arranging an exchange. =D I'm going to ask how they transport them so I have an idea of how not to break it on a bumpy road if I ever have to move it >_>

I'm so giddy right now. =)

I didn't get the above and beyond badge either.... And my icefly was broken when we retrieved it... How can I set up an exchange?

When I got my icefly from the last Tampa drop, I asked about the t-shirt. No dice. Good job on getting one.

I got my above and beyond badge that day. Sinz told me to look for it on my profile just a few ours after I had already grabbed the icefly and it was there.

No such luck.
I got to the location a little after 1:00 and no one was there. It must have been found pretty quickly. (Darn road construction. If it wasn't for that I might have gotten there sooner.)

Ya, I got there literally in 5 mins. We just happened to be waiting at my friend's shop 3-4 blocks from target field. Soon as the clue posted, we ran like hell! Would have gotten to the icefly even been faster if we hadn't gotten split up looking for the envelope, but I'd say we had to have set a record, lmao.

When I emailed support, they told me they were forwarding my email to their "field team" to set up an exchange. Is this what they told you? And if so, have you heard from the "field team"? Just curious because I haven't heard back yet.

They got in contact with me via text message and I am meeting up at the place where I went to collect the ice fly to meet a representative from the Human Preservation Project tomorrow. They were also kind enough to answer my inquires as to safe transportation in the process (IE don't open till home). Actually just lightly shaking the icefly in different directions, I think the best way to transport them without injury is if they are face down in the box, as mine doesn't want to budge when it is leaning forward, and if when I pull it out the box and find it was laying face down, then I will be quite justified in this thought.

Sounds like I need to email support again and see if they can contact the field team here again. Thanks.

Did the exchange go well? I'm still waiting to hear from them. I emailed support again and they told me I need to be patient because it's Thanksgiving.

UPDATE
I just got a text from them. Setting up a meeting time!

Can anyone open their Icefly housing? When I got mine, the top was removeable. I come home Saturday evening and I notice that one of my icefly's front wings was broken off and laying in a grove at the bottom of the housing case. I hadn't put my hand in there or anything. I emailed support and they said there was no way to repair it and that the housing isnt supposed to be opened once sealed. I emailed back saying that it wasn't sealed when I picked it up.

It should be sealed. Let support know.

In my original email to them, I attached a picture of the damaged Icefly. In their second reply to me, the person included a doctored version of my photo with a diagram showing me how to repair it lol. They said to use superglue and tweezers to set the wing back in place. A few minutes later, they replied again saying to disregard the previous message about repairing it and that they were looking into the availability of a replacement Icefly. Asked for my address and phone number and said someone would be in contact with me.

Glad to hear it, dude. I like how they immediately corrected their misstep.
