It's kind of hard to just randomly start an ARG that has all that. Not all ARGs have those elements.

Your best bet would be to jump on an ARG just starting out. The the Men in Black ARG that's starting up.

I might as well chime in here, though I might be a bit biased on this. The main ARG I'm currently participating in is this one here:

It's generally known as CRUX Crucible and is a very interactive game. It has puzzles, but is generally focused on the challenges. CRUX's game isn't accepting new players, but another "competing" game has started up, which you should be able to find information on in the thread. It's got an IRC chat going on, plus some email interaction and a good bit of texting/calling from various characters.
