Rewatching the season through the twitter account, found this and I don't know if I miss something that explains it:

@marblehornets: "Found something that makes me not want to go through the rest of these tapes. Headache. Laying down for now. Uploading it tomorrow."

This was days after Entry 36 was posted, so I'm assuming that J is talking about the Entry 37... the next day J's "forgot" his youtube password and got that strange behavior with the (possibly slendy sickness or something provoked) typos on his tweets (remember "sllee pno.w") and the "enttry #37" was posted (J says in #38 that he don't posted it)

5 days after J tweets this: "Just woke up in my car, near the red tower. Don't remember how I got here. This is a long way from where I was. The tapes aren't with me, and the footage I copied to my laptop has apparently been deleted. I need to get back. Fast."

I really don't think that the tweet before #37 is refering to #38 based on what he says in the tweet... So, what J found? it was posted or was deleted and never posted?

Well he said he copied it to his laptop, implying that he had it on either tapes or harddrive somewhere else. I think he was talking about the footage in entry 38, as he mentioned again in that entry how uneasy he felt watching Alex act the way he did, telling J that story and leading him deep into the woods as the sun was going down. He was probably afraid of something along the lines of what actually would up happening.

Not going to lie, rather surprised to see an update! although I suppose it keeps us sure that Jay's mind is fully functional this time round though.
Only downside now of course is that I'll be more inclined to check Twitter late at night rather than just trying to catch up on my MH Season 2 sleep loss!

wow, i'm also surprised to see a tweet. i'm guessing that jay will be keeping us updated the next couple months until he finds something worth showing us (in other words, until season 3 starts). i will be really happy if jay does keep in touch with us and this isn't the only tweet we'll see for a few months.
