Improving ARG's with the help of mobile devices
Project

Me and some colleagues are doing research on how mobile devices could make ARG's more immersing.

This research will hopefully lead to an app or website/service of some sort.

So my question is this,
What are the some of the issues you might run in to making/participating in ARG's?

Issues:

- Scalability - will your network be able to handle large influxes of activity without diminishing the mobile portions of the experience? Infrastructure/bandwidth can be tricky when it's not entirely controlled by you. Will all possible players have access to wifi/cell towers when needed? Will gameplay then favor a playerbase that is in a well-populated area? Which brings us to:

- Accessibility - not only are there several smartphone options on the market now, they're still not affordable to most people, especially in this economy. If you go bleeding edge, are you then reducing your player pool? Not everyone has or likes tech - is there some way for those people to participate in the experience anyway?
