 		I'm sorry this happened, but all I can think of is just have Louis and whoever is running the secondary blog keep denying the connection, players will assume it isn't related and drop it. This has happened before when they really WERE unrelated. Just keep bluffing, and they'll get the hint and drop it. Then pick it back up when you need to. Just prod the players a bit.

YOU ARE THE PUPPETMASTER. IT IS YOUR STORY. Yes, ARGs are player-driven in some ways, but you are ultimately the one in control of this.

Part of being a PM is being able to deal with any contingency. I have my blogs for my ARG under another name, and then once they're meant to connect, I can rename the blog real quick and then announce it as part of the game. Contingency, contingency. Think on your feet.[/i]

 		Hello TheBioGuy. My point of view is that all your players have been quite gracious in your guiding their suspension of disbelief since the apparent connection seemed anything but tenuous nor was it based entirely on a single tweet as you posted above.

No one is imo "pressuring the two storylines to meet" nor has anyone been "borderline verbally abusive" to your IG character. My belief is that your "conflict" may be an inner one stemming from momentum issues arising from a "7 months" scenario timeline involving only two blogs. Truly hope this helps you adapt, TheBioGuy.

It's unusual for anyone, let alone a PM, to believe they can control what will give another individual "cause to think". Well, your FOUND blog's content screamed link.
I simply saw your IG tweet as an extra, not so subtle hint to the players. Not being a mind reader into your "7 months" semi-separate scenario it would have been asocial and disingenuous to not mention the two blogs' possible connection to the other players.

Both my comments, this being the last and again in reply to yours above, are offered as a former player of your game with some BTC experience from over the years. Normally, in my experience a PM would be delighted that his players were engaged enough to glean the connection or inspired enough, as another player was, to seek IG character interaction without him being called out by the PM as "borderline verbally abusive" on a public forum.

 		So... is the post above me spam? It seems to be spam. Because this thread has faded to total uselessness, and having dredged back up is annoying at best.

As long as I'm here- amandel, I can see where you're coming from, but frankly I've decided that mostly this thread has served to spoil behind-the-curtain information, so i deleted my stuff here in hopes that it would be ignored. I promise that I'm not actually pissed at you or anything. We've modified the story sufficiently, partly in response to some of the issues you raised.

From here, I think I'm going to have the mods lock this up. It's a pointless thread now.
