It's quite gross, but for those of you who didn't see it here is a picture of the razor blade, it may or may not be related to the game, but it's a weird coincidence that the picture changed after someone found it yesterday.

Marchant = LeMarchand (?) its an idea that ive seen floated elesewhere .. probably way out .. but its a nice quirk ...
in the Hellraiser series .. a character called LeMarchand invents a puzzlecube
"LeMarchand's Configuration"
http://www.apocprod.com/Pages/prop_pages/hellraiser.htm
its basically a gateway to hell .. but you can do the google thang for more info ..

Justin Berkovi? Ok ..now I see the blue swirls (tg). I could also see the perplex city logo on that other site. One question... who is Justin Berkovi? I searched the threads for his name but didn't find the answer. Is he a PM or something?

Can everyone please slow down a little?
Perplexity is a common enough word and so obviously there's going to be people having the domain names with it in. It doesn't mean these are connected to the game (and we have no reason to believe that they are at all).
It is possible that the PMs went and registered every single perplexity domain around and put fake addresses in the whois of each, but it doesn't sound very likely. Registering multiple perplexc ity ones yes, but others are most likely just people's personal sites.
da5id: If you scroll down to read the page, you'll find that this is simply someone's blog and they are discussing the ARG itself.

perplexcity.net perplexcity.tv and perplexcity.info have also been registered through godaddy and have the same whois data as perplexcity.com, though nothing is on them yet

Justin Berkovi is apparently a singer or some sort of musician. Predicaments.com redirected me to his site
www.justinberkovi.com
It seems like it's out of game, but I'm looking through source codes now. It dosen't seem like it's in game...

Yea, definetly out of game. Did a Xolox music search, he's real. I guess they just sold the site to him

That looks to me to be just some joker posting and pretending to be part of this. Of course, I could be wrong

Hello all, great to come across such a great forum and great games. I'll be sticking around for sure.
I'm new to Project Syzygy but love games like this, In Memoriam et al.
As I'm new today I've had quite a lot of catching up to do but thankfully it's my day off so I was able to study quite a bit.
As many areas have been heavily scrutinized, the 6 pictures, the vanishing razor etc I got side tracked into the firebox.com connection.
I was reading how their product page points to this forum..
and more interestingly how the product title is this The //\\\\\\ Cube which is binary for The 00111111 Cube which then goes to The "?" Cube.
Since then I was hooked and decided to search more.
I was searching another forum and noticed that a new member had signed up today (with perplexcity.com as his home page), made one rather strange post in relation to this and has said nothing other than…
.a.b.c.
and has an interesting signature…
are you Sure you havE translatEd correctly? Kings hAve falleN on the basis of poors Decision YOU know. SHALL I correct you? FIND the truth.
Which I guess should read…
SEE AND YOU SHALL FIND
Am I just being sucked in by a enthusiast or is there more to this post than meets the eye? Just struck me as a rather odd intro post for soembody just signing up??
see here
cheers,
fish

Well, thanks to that we know the "proper" translation of "quaerere initium sapientiae" is nothing else.

The post subject Falsus Spes (false hope) makes me believe it's a joke even more.

The next question, then, would be "Who's joke is it?"
Could be one of the Hons, giving us "false hope" that we could get some clue out of this, or that the game will start anytime soon, as we have all been hoping.

Can't say I could see the Hons being that mean
