[META] ISO: Axon Hunters Near ME

Ok, mods only post in Axon Coordination, so move this post there if ya want...

How many people here are from southern Ontario? How many want to see at least one Canadian axon in our area?

Well apparently I've been contacted by a local beekeeper at the University of Waterloo (about a 5 minute bus ride from my work) who wanted to gather people for a photo for last week's field test... apparently payphonedirectory.org has listings for Kitchener/Waterloo...

Anyone around here want to work together to try to get an axon submitted to Mel for us?

Rally all ye K-Towner beekeepers! (that would be the Waterloo region, London too, if you want Razz)

did you take a look at the payphonedirectory.org and try out any of those phones? even if there are no workable phones, it may be possible to find a courtesy phone, or some other form of public phone with GPD coords that could be submitted... don't ruin our fun! We Canadians are all alone up here Wink hope is all we have left!

Hi,

I have been to Kitchener (as well as other parts of Ontario). I have been to many Canadian provinces. Canada is a great place with great people and you deserve axons. I hope you can find some sort of public phone that accepts incoming calls that you could take a picture of to submit.

Maybe you could "dress up" one of your home phones or mobile phones to look like a pay phone? Creativity seems to count for something in this game, so it might work. Smile

Good luck!

pita

I thought you were going to say something like dress up like an eskimo or something Smile

it's strange, something so popular and widespread is soooo sparse! You'd think, in a city of 200,000+, there would be at least a few people a part of the same central source, such as these forums... yes, I know there's some people around in other cities here, and I got an email from someone around the corner, but haven't heard anything back, and I don't think they're a part of these forums...

the internet is such a strange place... it brings people much closer together, yet emphasizing how vast and sparse we really are...

I will not let this thread die! Smile

now back to bed Razz
