Yeah, it's exactly like that. I don't think they say explicity "marble hornets" in any video, but they do give enough indirect commentaries, like when some guy named Jay won something. They said "Hey, Jay, congratulations, you won... I mean Jay XXX (surname), not that Jay...". Besides Slenderman is a fitional entity in the series too.
And now that they made a crossover with TribeTwelve, they share the universes, so it all suits for TT as well.

 		At the beginning of the series, some guy kept dressing up as Slender Man to scare the other ones, not knowing that a real one existed. I don't even watch the series, and I know that much.

i didn't argue that fact

i argued the fact that he siad that slenderman was fictional in the EMH universe, which he is not. there is a fake slendy and a real slendy, the real one is not fictional.
