Solved the code posted by sapagoo! Answer should be:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Answers are indeed in the stars. But look! Also to the cover of the Kings Ransom. Be sure to examine with utter care.

Also, between December 25 and 31, a seven short book ebook series will be released, one per day. Its called Rapidfire http://www.the39clues.com/rapidfire which will apparently be all new never before seen short stories revealing secrets you never knew. Probably NOT free so prepare to empty your wallets again. Wink

On another note, unconfirmed reports claim that the titles of Books 4, 5 and 6 are
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Pirate's Treasure, Recovering Confidence and The Mastermind Revealed
respectively.

Still cant wait for the second book on December 6th but thought this should placate our hunger for the series a bit until then. Very Happy

DO YOU DARE TO TRY IT?

You guys should try the Tim Tang Test. It is called the hardest test on the internet. It will definitely occupy us while the 39 clues doesnt release new stuff.

The kings ransom chapter 8

Here is the kings ransom full chapter 8
enjoy!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Chapter 8

From: V-1
To: V-6
Remind me of your mission again? Oh yes.
Surveillance of targets Amy and Dan Cahill.
That was it. Now enlighten me as to the
reason for your utter failure to complete
mission. Care to check in? Or would you
like to check out permanentemente, cara?

Vesper 1 slammed the phone down. Took a
breath, then another. It was a shame he
couldnt do everythind himself. He had to
relt on the Wyomings for muscle and
surveillance. They were a ruthless pair. But
they needed...prodding.
Fear was such a great motivator. Look at
Amy and Dan, scampering around like
hamsters, just for him!
The de Virga map was the piece needed
for the last step. The thought of it made
his palms itch. He could feel it dropping it
into his hands. Amy and Dan could do
anything, given the right incentive.
In an odd way, he believed in them.
Certainly, he was rooting for them. They
would collect the pieces and he would
assemble them, and then...
Eyes closed, he evisioned it all. What he
would gain. Nothing less than everything.
*****************************************
Cheyenne Wyoming shoved her phone
into her purse as she swung down the
Trullhofstrasse in Lucerne. Vesper 1 was
making threats. In his usual style, of
course, calling her cara, an endearment
in Italian, even when he was threatening
to kill her.
It had taken her years to work up to
Vesper 6. After Casper had botched the
job in Switzerland, when he haad almost
died trying to get the ring...well she had
vaulted right ahead of him. Casper had
been furious.
And even she did not want to get on the
bad side of her twin. The bad side was...
extremely unpleasant. She rubbed her
wrist absentmindedly.The fracture
required a small metal plate to repair the
bone. Casper hadn't liked discovering he
was out and she was in.
Just then a yellow BMW pulled over to
the curb. "Hey, want a ride, fraulein?"
She stopped and shook her head.
"Are you crazy, Casper? What are you
doing in that car? Surveillance is
supposed to be covert. That means
nobody is supposed to notice you."
Her brother smirked. "Spoken by the
tuba player of the Wilmington
Wowzabelles?"
"Wasn't I right? Didn't the totally
draw them in?" She slid inside the car and
had barely closed the door before Casper
had gunned the motor and took off. "Your
timing couldn't be worse. I lost the Cahills.
The GPS is all wonky. satellite problems- it
keeps going in and out."
Savagely, Cheyenne ripped off her dark
wig and took the pins out of her long
blonde hair. She shook it and it cascaded
down her shoulders. Then she tossed her
glasses out the window and popped out
the dark lenses. She tilted the mirror and
drank in the sight of her own blue eyes.
She was herself again. Immediately, she
felt calmer.
"I'm kinda getting sick of dancing to
Vesper 1's tune," she brooded. "And
having V-2 breathing down our necks
all the time, waiting for us to make a
mistake."
"Word. And now you've played right
into it. We might get dropped from the
Council of Six."
Who's we bro? Cheyenne wanted to
say. I'm the one in the council. You
don't even have a number anymore.
But she couldn't say it. She needed
her brother.
"Now it's going to take us even
more time to climb up the ladder,"
Casper continued.
She looked out the window as the
picturesque streets of Lucerne slipped
by. Streets with fancy stores with
things that cost a lot. Things she
wanted and deserved.
A plan was forming in her mind. "It
doesn't have to take more time," she
said. "Not if we're proactive."
A small smile began on Casper's
lips. "Oh, sister-friend. I know that
tone. What are you thinking?"
"If you want something, you
take it," Cheyenne said, repeating
what the two siblings had told each
other from the beginnings of their
lives if crime. Back when their parents
robbed banks, pulled scams, dragged
them all over the country. Cheyenne
and Casper had added Internet scams
to the family's crimes, and they'd
pulled in more than they'd ever
dreamed. Soon they were known
in the criminal underworld. And to
the FBI and the ploice departments
of various states. So when the
Vespers came calling, Casper and
Cheyenne were only too glad to
ditch their parents (now serving
25 years to life) and join up with
V-1. Now they weren't just
criminals-they were master criminals,
linked into a global network.
And she wasn't going to give that
up for anybody.
"He thinks the Cahills can find
what he is looking for," she said,
tilting the mirror to check out her
image. "But what if we find it first?"

hope you liked it!

If you got the new book this week, A King's Ransom, and you are looking at the 6 cards that came with the book, they all have the same code at the bottom. If you enter that code online, you should receive all 6 virtual cards.

If you aren't talking about that, then I have no clue.

PS: I got the book from the library, and am halfway done. Still need to get the cards.

As Of Now...

Okay, so, these two books came out ( King's Ransom and Medusa Plot ) and I don't get it. All they're stealing is invaluable pieces of art and documents which are all related to what? I know Vesper One is trying to get get to something here but, it doesn't add up. Once more books are released, I might be able to look into this further. Asd of now, I just don't get it. If anyone can help me with this, then say so. I must say, this series is somewhat...confusing.

I think we'll learn more in book 3 when they get to the next city (along the Silk Road).
I figure this is another hunt for something world changing.

On a side note, did we decipher the book code?
1.24.4
2.2.2
3.9.6
4.2.3

5.6.3
6.13.1
7.20.4
7.25.4
8.1.3
9.5.3
10.1.5
11.2.7

My first thought was "page line word".
Then I thought "Book page word". But neither make sense. I'll try to brainstorm some more attempts.

The key for this is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Chapter, word, letter. 1.24.4 means chapter 1, word 24, thenthe 4th letter of that word. Start counting words after the words ''Chapter XXX'' which means even the location name are counted as words.

The answer should be (and if doesnt really make sense, unless any of you got an idea)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Sand reckoner. On the 39 clues book puzzle answer box, had to put it in as one word with no spacing as answer for it to be accepted.

Hope this helps! Very Happy

Card Backs

So. I just got Book 2 and the first Card Pack for Cahiils Vs. Vespers and I guess this would be a little bit of something...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You know how each book's cover has a constellation or something? Well, on the back of the first card from each book and the backs every card from Pack 1 has something like that. It's just like how in the first series you'd need ten cards to make out a picture except, you'd need thirty-eight cards to make a constellation map of some sort (I just guessed on the number of cards you'd need) You'd need the other books with the cards and the other card pack so, for now, I wait.

It's revealed from book 2 but, why is she a vesper? It doesn't make sense to me.

Well, the whole purpose of the Spymaster is to be able to inliftrate a group, gain their trust and destroy them from the inside. What better way to do that with someone who looks like a crazy old grandmother who looks harmless? Can you imagine if her partner in Interpol was the vesper? He looks too suspicious and I wouldnt share my secrets with him... Very Happy
