I loved that for so many reasons.

Entries like that - slowly peeling off the layers and veneers of a happy family scene - just prove that deft, fine editing for certain beats and moments can allow for more emotional subtlety and psychological shading than any reams upon reams of scripted monologues. That's sacrilege for me to say as someone who's much more of a writer than an editor, but it's no less true. A lot of work starts with the script, but it ends with the cutting, period. And here they cut for character in a minimalist sort of way which still reveals plenty through very little - it's very elegant.

I may get into specifics later here but I have a longer post to work on about it later, and I think most of it speaks for itself.

I'll echo qaqa with less words. The video was great, subtle, and great.

A few things:

-I guess Steph standing with a pregnancy test in hand doesn't automatically mean Prego Stepho, but the fact that it's a possibility is a little unnerving on it's own.

- Alex knows it's not Sparky. Hrm. Also, did he give Jeff an airhorn for christmas?

- The whole car scene. I'm assuming this is before hand. Did Vinnie edit this in? Or more habit stuff? If it was Vinnie, why?

I'm not gonna lie, the way the video ended with the camera on Daniel like that makes me wanna know a bit more about him: Has he really experienced little-to-no weirdness in comparison to the other guys? Or does he just prefer not to talk about it?

Just makes me worried since it has been a while since we've last seen him in the flesh.

The real question is, who has been editing these videos all along, either literally or through some otherworldly means - imbuing them with the jump cuts of footage that is unknown either to us, to EMH, or in the case of the underwater footage, possibly simply figurative and not literal reality?

These jump cuts, these moments, the stolen scenes that we shouldn't be privy to or that no one knows about or that may not even be real, have been with us in the footage for a long time now. A long time. Has the larger issue of these cuts and who's making them ever been raised to the guys? Because I think it should be discussed with them. Even if it is just HABIT fucking around.
