Scrabble This one should be easy for the Scrabble enthusiasts, with a little thinking outside the box.

Hint 1
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Look at what doesn't belong
Hint 2
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you don't know your Scrabble history, it would help to brush up.

I've been through the hints, and I've found three things that don't belong. Unfortunately, they don't anagram. I've tried just the individual tiles that would have to go, and still nothing works out. So, still stuck.
I'm not thrilled about this puzzle because there are multiple word lists and some allow the words on this board, and some don't. It seems rather arbitrary to me which word list to pick. I've found TWL98/OSPD and SOWPODS...and neither matches the list linked by the third hint at the Hasbro website. If I were trying to solve this without hints, how in the world would I know which list to use?

drakono, I understand the frustration. I think you're probably on the right track, but you've made a mistake somewhere.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There should be 4 items. Of course, you should always take TMT's hints as canon. If you use the TWL/ American OSPD, you might end up with extra letters (5 items), but the answer SHOULD jump out at you if you read my second hint above anyway.

Want another hint to clarify Hint 2 above?

Thanks, that did it. I was just missing one thing that didn't belong. The anagram server still couldn't find the answer, but hint 2 helped me clear that last hurdle.

one away in the post before yours had everything you need to solve the theorem.
Hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do not bother with anagram pages. Try to search for a 'historical' word.... If there is anything like history when you are talking about scrabble .
