I have no intention to join the "let's-criticise-every-pravado-post" band, but it's almost impossible to not fall into this, if you keep taking theories for granted. The Operator posessing people to kill for him is one of the most plaussible theories arround, but it's still that: a theory. Now, if you are going to take it to the level of saying that Marble Hornets has a low complex story because of one theory, you sir are pissing the wrong tree, like they say in my country. There's a lot of things that theory does not cover, like Masky, TTA, and all others which I can't think of now.
Really pravado, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but if you don't like MH, or Slenderman, or whatever (judging for every other rage posts you make about all the others Slenderman Mythos' Vlogs) go watch midnight meat train or saw, those will have the "complex" story you are looking for.

EDIT: Or maybe you are the best and most skilled troll I have ever seen, since almost 2/3 of your posts causes people to go and criticise you while it drives them out of the discussion.
Laughing people on this site tend to be overly sensitive and have a problem with ignoring words on a screen. you don't have a problem when chris of darkharvest says the same things i do on the around the campfire podcast

punx.. what is that? are we just spamming anything we like now?

Nope. That song is very relevant to the conversation at hand.

Alex didn't endlessly shit on the mythos in that podcast. Listen again.

People should check the Drak Harvest in video.

I like number 2 on the list. I've always found the idea of the Operator, well, operating some sort of device appealing. It's very possible that what it operates is "The Ark".

But the real question is: What is it operating... in its mind?

Can't believe that I'm quoting Tharol, but he's right.

Maybe it's been staring us in the face this whole time.

Clearly the Operator is just a former telephone, er, operator driven insane by the rapid obsolescence of plain old telephone systems in the digital age, and the diminishing role of the operator in said services over the past few decades. He's now going after everyone who's ever used VoIP, SMS or Internet video chat in their life, to get his revenge on the world. Whilst wearing stilts, a business suit, and a white bag over his head. That's just how he rolls.

Which implies that there are actually going to be another 50 or so series of Marble Hornets whilst he tracks all those people down... including me! aaaaaaaa

Seriously though, my favourite theory so far is that it's something to do with "operating" people, but that just seems a little too obvious for me... though none of the other explanations seem to fit as well (camera operator being a slight exception)...
