Audacity will allow you to split tracks and view the spectrogram.

Answer 3:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you mix the stereo tracks down in to a mono track, they cancel out apart from "your password is amnesia."

EDIT: Used the wrong term, which could confuse people. Embarassed

Stuck on 2-2:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The abacus equals:
8750 19500

I've tried inserting a 0 between the two
8750019500
subtracting, adding, dividing but i'm stuck there

Can anyone identify the swoop? does that reference something in math?

2.2 - Got the spectrogram and the numbers (or what I think the numbers are), but now I don't know what to do with them as they don't work as the password.

Numbers I have:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
0875019500

EDIT: Just thought: it could be a phone number, but I'm not in the US.
EDIT2: Scratch that, just looked up US telephone format.

phone numbers aren't valid in the US. just tried.

that swoop between the two abacus must mean something. But what? Also, 'notch it out' are the instructions...

This doesn't really feel like an ARG to me. More like a time-waster. Anyone else feel the same?

Also, I got my PIN number when I signed up but it won't allow me to get back in. I've sent an email as well as a tweet but so far have gotten no response. Anyone else having problems?

Ok, i figured it out

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

notch out those freq with a para eq

8750 and 19500

apply to the sound file and the spectrograph will change, black lines will go threw some letters

Yeah, "notch" confused me. Not up on my American street slang, I'm afraid. The swoop is logarithmic, but beyond that nothing is popping in to my head regarding meaning.

Depends if the puzzle trail leads somewhere or not. The sound files could be from in universe characters, which we meet later.

Just been fiddling with it now:
The first time I logged out and back in, it gave me a new PIN.
I reloaded the page and got straight back in with having to put a PIN in.
I logged out and back in - this time it prompted me for my PIN. I tried my old and my new PINs with no success. I clicked the PIN reminder link and received an email confirming that my old PIN was the correct one and not to be so clumsy Rolling Eyes My old PIN still didn't work, but when I reloaded the page I got straight in again. Weird bugs. Anyway, try reloading the page I guess.

I'm lost there so good luck with that.

Here I was trying to use the 0 at the swoop as a decimal or a multiplication symbol. I didn't have anything else close to write on so I have a brown paper bag with a bunch of crazy numbers written all over it.

At least now I kinda know a little about the finer art of soroban math.

Hope somebody else can take care of the sound engineering art.

EDIT: Looks like you just did while I was writing this. Thanks!

Just in case someone didn't get who wants the PW - it's and anagram - yield

Cut and align the beats, save the file, invert the spectrum to get 'ridge'

Hmmm I just spent an hour with an audio engineer here at work on 2.4 We tried phase canceling, offsetting the files slightly, 5.1 decoding (due to the file name) and nothing. It's a very cool track, rhythmic at the end with what sounds like chanting but I haven't been able to find anything

I hope you're mentally disabled. Otherwise, this is just sad.

I hear the hey hoodie how many burgers do you want, hahaha, and did you hear that repeated a few times.

But I only hear the what's that noise once at about 9.5 . Don't know if it's an indication of anything but they are the only words that I hear that aren't repeated. Or maybe someone else has heard them repeated.

Oh well. Sorry this is the best I can do.
