the password is...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You obtain the password for 4-3 by *inverting* the audio, not reversing it, then putting it back into the hex. You get "saboteur"

Doy. I did invert it, but didn't read on after I had put it in the hex editor. -feels stupid-

You already said the password. Anyway, we are now dealing with DTMF, Dual Tone Multi Frequency, such as is used in touch tone phones.

the more I listen it's sounding like 651644 or 651642 for the second set

I think you need to play it in to something like this program.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Other-Internet-Related/DTMF-Decoder.shtml

It won't work on my laptop for some reason, but all you have to do is again, put your mic up to your speakers.

Aligning the first half of the clip with the second half of the clip plays the tones for 1, 5, 9 and D on a DTMF keypad...I think that was merely intended to show one note of each frequency though, the spoken numbers must still probably have something to do with it.

I aligned the two clips and did a phase cancelation which got rid of the tones.

It sounds like there is a message at the beginning and then towards the end it sounds like it says something about the numbers....i amplifed the end of the message in this clip

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZU1174EZ

I tried pitch shifting and speeding up the clip but the messages never got any clearer...

It sounds to me like it is saying

'5 numbers (bunch of tones, maybe 7?) for your next clue'

Hey there, I'm a new member, I signed up to contribute to this topic.

I'm at 4-4 too, now.

I've figured out the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I'm not sure about the second set of numbers, specifically the 3.

I've noticed that the track is composed of two parts.
The low-freq region(With the low voice) and the high-freq region(With the high voice).

You need one tone out of each region to get DTMF out of it.

In the image, you can see that I've labeled all the frequencies and numbers and figured something out, coming to a set of numbers:
8 3 4 3 8 6

I have no idea what this means.

Checking for words on the keypad did nothing:
http://www.dialabc.com/words/search/index.html?pnum=834386&dict=american&pad=ext&filter=normal&mtcontinue=Find+Words

I hope this helps people with their quest.

(I hope I am not the only one working on this right now.. Shocked )

Okay so I found a little website that detects DTMF tones in a sound file:

http://www.dialabc.com/sound/detect/

It's detecting now.. Hope it works. Confused

You're not. I'm still here.

I can set up a temporary IRC channel if you want.
