I had been staring at that stereogram for an hour and could see nothing except for lines, I still don't see the answer in it, ah well chalk it up to poor vision.

I finally was able to see it as 3 big chunky letters in the bottom half of the spectrogram. The V looks more like a U but these are easier for some people to visualize than others. If you cross your eyes you get the reverse of the image which is harder to read as the letters sink into the screen instead of popping out. I try to get close to the image and close my eyes and let them relax. When I open them everything is out of focus but if I slowly move back and bring it in to focus I can see the image (sometimes!). I hope that helps. Here's an image of approx. what I see so you know what to look for.

This is what I have for 6-4

Counting the slashes at the top:

4 2 3 1 7 6 1 4 7 4 6 3 5 3 4 4 3 5 3 4 2 5 2 4 6 1 3 1 1 4 4

7 is the highest number so I'm guessing we are dealing with notes again:

D B C A G F A D G D F C E C D D C E C D B E B D F A C A A D D

and the letter frequency:

A 5
B 3
C 6
D 9
E 3
F 3
G 2

I can't fully understand the clue:

"This is just a cryptogram. ?My Grammer Plays Through These Things All The Time?

EDIT: My grandma...

This looks like the word spacing:

DBCAGF ADG DFCECDDCE CDBEBD FACAADD

And Spacing based of off the lower frequency:
DBCAGF ADGDFCE CDDCECDBE BDFACAADD

But in a cryptogram solver it comes up with nothing...

What was the solution for 6-2?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The morse code is the same front to back as it is back to front.
In the middle, there is interference in the morse signal.

Run a low pass filter on it with:
Rolloff = 48dB
q = 0.1
Cutoff Freq = 150Hz

You have to stop seeing it as a sound wave and more of a digital signal(1s and 0s)

There is the morse signal A, which, let's say, starts at 0.0s.
There is the morse B, which is identical to A except for the fact that it starts at, let's say 0.10s and is then reverse and inverted.

These two signals are mixed to create the middle signal A+B.

(Any mentioning of B being high is BEFORE inverting and reversing)

The middle line is LOW. The high(and negative) points are HIGH.
With this logic, you can say that:
-Whenever A+B is HIGH and POSITIVE, A is HIGH and B is LOW.
-Whenever A+B is HIGH and NEGATIVE, B is HIGH and A is LOW.
-Whenever A+B is LOW, both A and B are LOW or both A and B are HIGH.

Timing is important too:
-Every time unit is 0.25s long.
-Periods take one time unit HIGH each.
-Dashes take three time units HIGH each.
-Between each subcharacter(period or dash) is a wait of a single time unit of LOW.
-Between each character(a, b, c, d, etc) is a wait of three time units LOW.
-Between each word is a wait of sever time units LOW.

Also, seeing as the interfering wave B is 0.10s off from A, it's not on the same time grid(As the doorman says). This makes it so that B does not ruin As message.

Taking all this into account, you can work out the original code, which was:
-... .- .-.. .- -. -.-. .
which decodes into:
BALANCE

6-4 GET_OUT Analysis

I don't know if this is meaningful but when I looked closely at the top of the spectrogram I saw the following that looked like the bottoms of letters. That would make for a long sentence and there are a lot of possibilities of which letters those might be. The other thought is that the achievement for Phase 6 says ultrasonic so maybe we need to look above 22khz to get the rest of the characters. I couldn't find a way to see that and it might be relevant to 6-5 instead but those were my first thoughts on this one.

GuestUser17, that is not the case. If you slow it down, it'll reveal nothing you haven't seen already.

By the way, get on IRC. Razz

Ok, we finally found the cryptogram. it is in the waveform of the high frequency.

What we have for 6-5 so far.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OK, so I have worked out the score for the piano parts. It is in B Major, so all the sharp notes, are written on the staves without the # next to them. The notes are as follows

B F# D#, B E D#, B F# B, B F# A#, B G# E, B G# D#, B F# C#, B A# B

This when turned in to numbered notation, gives a series of numbers, in groups of three. The numbers correspond thus.

B=1, C#=2, D#=3, E=4, F#=5, G#=6, A#=7

When translated in to the score, we get this sequence of numbers, in groups of three.

153, 143, 151, 157, 164, 163, 152, 171

These may translate to ALT codes, but when done so, it makes gibberish.

ÖÅùØñúÿ½

That is as far as we have gotten tonight.

I just got to the same place when I came back to check progress. Continuing on from there...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Given we are dealing with octaves and have 3 digit numbers, it follows that we have octal numbers that can be translated to ascii characters. Looking at asciitable.com, the numbers correspond to:
k,c,i,o,t,s,j,y

From there, the only one word anagram of those letter is:
JOYSTICK

Welcome to level 7!

Spectrogram for 7-1 dots3456.wav

ETA - dots-3456 refers to the number symbol used before numbers in braille.

dunno if it makes a difference

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

but when you reverse a track, after splitting stereo, and then put to mono you get a configuration closer to braille with six dot sections, if you invert a track, they cancel each other completely and give no image at all.

I would post an image but I have no clue how to get it to work here.
