Care to suggest a promising blog/vlog?
I'd like input before I comb these trailheads

Firstly, this is not a place for shameless plugs. No, bad, for shame, and all the jazz.

I simply want the opinions of my fellow players of the most promising vlog/blogs already established right now. I'd rather not hear brand spanking new series unless you think it is undeniably mind-blowing right off the bat.

I'm more interested in series that may be located on the 2nd and 3rd pages of this forum, something potentially showing substance. For vlogs, I'd say no less than 5 entries is safe; blogs, no less than 10 lengthy ones.

Obviously, I don't need to hear about the popular and well known series. This is for the underdogs, those who can give raw input on series they feel may be worth looking into (and aren't involved with, duh).

I've very little time to comb through all of the trailheads and commit hours reading/watching to form my opinion on every single one- thus, I want to hear your voices instead.

Here's your chance to spread your opinion and possibly influence my own. Isn't that every internet-user's dream?

How about The Tulpa Effect ? It has attractive people and some good jump scares, plus the plot isn't so convoluted you need to make flowcharts to follow it.

Well it's on the first page, but I do have to recommend Caught Not Sleeping if you've not yet seen it. Has an interesting story, great characters and some good effects. Haven't gotten so much into the ARG parts of it myself, but it is probably my favorite current series (at least 'til MH comes back).

And I'll second a recommendation for Tulpa Effect. And 004Steps, just so envoy doesn't feel bad. Razz

As for blogs, might I suggest these:
A Realm of Emptiness
A Lifetime of Laughter

Both of which are a sort of continuation of a rather old blog, A Lack of Lexicon, which is archived (in part, some of the earlier posts are missing) here. And there are two companion blogs as well. But if you don't want to read all of these, you can just read the two above ones, as they don't refer back to the old ones hardly at all.

And I'll just finish up by mentioning Faded Giants. It's Slender Man cyberpunk and actually very good.

Okay, I'm done now.

Fantastic, I'll certainly check all of these out (even if it's a plug, Envoy, haha).

Anyone have more to add besides those mentioned?

I'm afraid this topic might get closed soon...

I recommend Osiris Chronicles, which is a personal favorite of mine and it's also really easy to start: http://www.youtube.com/user/OsirisChronicles#p/u

Also, the already mentioned Tulpa Effect is excellent!

And here I go shamelessly plugging mine (http://afraidathome.tumblr.com/) which is still young and it's fairly easy to jump on the bandwagon.

I have a disagree with you Tharol. I find it to be one of the most promising blogs of all time, The writing is phenomenal and the character development in Black Elephants is high class. Every time I read that blog I find myself laughing for a while. Everyone who I've shown it to has laughed out loud at least once. So I think your English translator meant to say is "Black elephants in the kitchen so good".

Just stumbled upon this series - PFireal. I know you guys might crucify me about this, but when looking at a 'new' Slendy series, I look at the latest video (busy with uni and work) and then work my way from the start.

Very unnerving and nicely done - and it needs more views. I really would like this series to continue Smile

Alright, let's sum up thus far:

In blogs, you suggested
A Realm of Emptiness
A Lifetime of Laughter
Faded Giants
afraidathome
Black Elephants

In vlogs, the suggested series were:
The Tupla Effect
004Steps
Caughtnotsleeping
OsirisChronicles
Undecidedfive
PRiFReal

Quite a list already! But hey, if you guys think these are certainly worth looking at, I'll do just that. A few of these I've actually start prior and agree with the suggestions, such as Black Elephants, caughtnotsleeping, and PRiFReal.

I'm thinking of merging this with the "Tier Rankings" thread... Opinions?
