I LOVE these off season tweets! Might not deserve it's own topic, but screw it.
I really do enjoy Jay tweeting like normal. Really makes the entire thing seem way more realistic. Plus now it is more than "Looking around. Nothing happening. Will let you know." It is actually progressing the story.
This sort of thing was on my season 3 wish list and I am very happy it is happening. I kinda don't care if the season starts soon now as long as we get these tweets. Not to say I don't want more entries, it just really does ease the wait.

This forum is like acts like the internet is running out of space and NOTHING deserves its own thread. Like there should be nothing but a "Marble Hornets General" thread in the fucking subforum dedicated to Marble Hornets.
And I like the off-season tweets too. Seems a lot more realistic, since nothing BIG is happening that warrants an entry, but he's still keeping us posted.

One thing I very much appreciate about the way in which Troy Wagner decided to tell this story is the fact that the tweets and the totheark entries provide supplemental content, but are not vital to following the story. Shows like everymanhybrid can be somewhat off putting for latecomers like myself because of the way the story is scattered throughout various mediums. I like the off-season tweets, just hope they don't become vital.

Jay usually recaps important twitter events in the entries via white text (like not wanting to post Entry #49).
On-Topic: I'd say these tweets aren't off-season tweets as much as they are suggesting that Season 3 is going to start very soon.

I see your idea and raise you a "This is already season 3".

They're a nice, slight, quick fix.

Completely agreed there. Imagine missing out on key refferences because--guess what--you don't DO the whole tweet thing. Immagine if you'd never known
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tim was Masky
Without the tweets. Can you immagine how completely FUCKED you'd be coming into season 3 which (I think from the last entry we all see) IS going to be more about Tim?

i have to ask why the admins won't give the mods the power to delete the topics? if they don't trust the mods to not go on a delete-frenzy or something, why make them mods in the first place? on most other message boards that i've been on, mods have the power to do so. this is going to turn into another shitpost topic, i just know it. we have a twitter thread already if you want to talk about tweets. ill agree that people act like nothing deserves its own topic, but when we already have a thread for this stuff.. yeah.

Well, ReverendJ makes an excellent point:

I've seen this happen many times in the tweet thread, plus this topic has resulted in enough discussion to make it a useful thread.

well that's because people don't know where to post stuff. discussing a tweet for two pages is still considered relevant to the topic. if anyone is really checking unfiction instead of the MH twitter for new tweets then they're off their rocker anyway.
the problem i have with this is that when more and more topics get created, it's harder to organize where certain discussions take place. people have to stop shitposting in every single topic on this forum, and just post in the off topic thread if they're bored. it's not hard to figure out why our userbase is slowly shrinking.

I'm glad Troy listened to us and decided to add more lively tweeting actions. It also makes the wait better, I just hope he continues that way when the videos will start.

This.
It's so annoying when people cry over threads that "don't deserve their own thread", when it's actually not that big of a deal and is completely fine in it's own thread. Seriously, calm the hell down. The same people have a crybaby hissy fit if you double post, revive old topics if you want to continue the discussion, etc.
But yeah, I'm lovin' those tweets. Hopefully an entry soon.

usually i'd agree. but there is already a twitter thread. making more topics like this bump the topics that deserve attention down on the page. there was a point where the official season 2 discussion topic ended on page 2 because everyone was making their own topics/posting in the wrong topics. it's fine if you want a board full of shitposting like we have, but if you want actual discussions to take place relating to the topics then you can't have massive amounts of new topics because half the people will be in one while half are in the other talking about the same thing, when we could all just be in one topic having one big chat which is generally better
