Probably unrelated but coincidental.
So far we have had a Black Jack and a picture featuring 21.
Casino blackjack features 5 or 7 players and the minimum hand for the dealer is 17.
Just an idea.
*Edit for epiphany*
Take the 21 and flip and rotate and you get

What probably non existent Airforce base springs to mind when thinking about experimental military aircraft.
Originally blackjack referred to an extra incentive for a winner who got the 21 points with the ace of spades and either of the black jacks.
Also there's the 21 picture's connection to the date in "Do not open until February 21, 2012." It probably doesn't mean anything, but this can also be written 02-21-2012 where the first and second set of numbers can be reversed and combined to make the third set.
EDIT:
Just saw your edited reference to the upside down 21 -- interesting
Also - regarding military aircraft - Blackjack is NATO's nickname for a Russian bomber http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-160 .

I'm pretty sure that the number is actually 51 & not 21. Look at the shape of the number 5 <- and the number 2 <-. The way the numbers are made is different.

They wish they had "The Right Stuff."
"The Right Stuff", having capitalization and in quotes, sticks out. From what we can tell, it refers to the movie by the same name about the Mercury 7 Astronauts, the first Americans in space. The movie was based on a book by the same name and the term "the right stuff" is used the describe the unidentifiable quality that makes astronauts able to do their job. It probably has nothing to do with the Wright Brothers.
"They" indicates that the answer is the name of a group/plural.
The "wish" part seems to indicate that the group wants to have the right stuff, but doesn't. They probably failed in space flight or something space related.
Think "homage" (this one won't be easy to find)
"Homage" means a tribute or, in some cases, a copy. Either way, respect is implied. This means it's NOT the Soviet space program as I originally suspected.
So I'm pretty much down to looking for two possibilities.
A tribute to the Mercury 7 that went horribly wrong perpetrated by misguided fanboys.
Something farcical from Pop Culture. (This has problems because the phrase "The Right Stuff" is used in almost EVERY space movie ever)
Makes me think of the "Fallen Astronaut", left by Apollo 15's crew on the moon. A plaque and a mini model of an astronaut - for all the ones who died
to further space flight/travel.

Star Trek has included a few homages to Chuck Yeager. Here are links to some sites.

But none of these seem to fit the they in They wish they had the Right Stuff.

Video email is titled '83'. This is the year the movie was released, but seems an odd way to title the video. Trying to imagine if it could mean anything else...

New tweet from Lisa:
"Clue: Focus on the music in the scene. Continue to think homage..."
The composer for the film was Bill Conti.
The song from the part of the scene where Sally Rand is doing a fan dance is Debussy's "Claire de Lune".
Still trying to put together how everything fits.

After I saw that tweet I don't know how much time I spent trying different forms and combinations of the possibilities you mentioned and a few more. The music as Yeager is ascending is called "Yeager and the F104," The music is very similar to Tchaikovsky's. I tried spelling "Clair de Lune" a variety of ways. I did and didn't include composer names. There is also some reference to Holst's "The Planets" and "Jupiter" and "Mars."
Not sure if I missed some combination of one of these or if I'm way off base. Now that I'm awake (and have nothing else I should be doing ) I'll have to have another go at it.
Lisa Lambert already tweeted that PWs would be lower-case. How about spaces or punctuation?

The one other multi word PW so far didn't contain any spaces.
Also Clair de Lune translates to moonlight so I've tried a few along those lines with no luck.

I had to search for "The Right Stuff" "Claire de Lune" and "homage"
The first two hits were relevant and led to the password:

Ok, I'm cheating a bit. I didn't get the password for #4, but in my defense I'm studying for the GRE these past two weeks, so my focus has been mostly on that.
I may be a bit out of it until tomorrow...
