A solution(maybe the solution)

Hello all,

I may have a solution, please take a look and please give comments!

First off is the data card. This had been troubling me for a long time now and I was stuck on it. So I trolled the boards to see if anyone had anything. I came across this: http://www.redkore.com/tel_forums/viewtopic.php?t=47
It seems the developers were trying to play around with us so I took up the challenge of finding where his icon came from. I narrowed it down to a Mayan hieroglyph but was unable to determine what kind. But!! I found something much more intresting in the book I was reading (The rise and fall of mayan civilzation for anyone intrested). They had a section on the unusal numaric system, namely that it was a base20 system and not the standard base10. Also the way they wrote out there numbers looked strangely familar. Here is a web site that gives a overview: http://www.niti.org/mayan/lesson.htm

Now I did the overlay of the base sequence as shown in another thread and noticed a couple of things. First off was that the lines and dots all were vertical or horizontal in groups. Please look at the first picture included, as I have color coded the areas. I took each area and treated it as a mayan number, see my second picture for the breakdown. This gave me three numbers, 407, 122,5. Three numbers can represent a coordinate in space, but what? Doing some more research I came up with the coordinates of the face on mars: http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/planetaryfaq.html#marsgen-face

The face on mars coordinates are 40.9N, 9.45W. If I was to move the decimal on my numbers I could get 40.7, 12.2, 0.5. Very close to the face on mars coords. I grabbed a map of mars and hilighted the area that could be where my derived coordinates point to, as shown in picture 3.
The pyramid looking structure looks especially suspicous, maybe something on importance is there.

Well thats what I got so far. Lets see what we can do with this infomation guys.

Did some more research about the pyramid and came up with this page:

Wow.. awesome job.

I think you might have something. I don't know what to make of it (yet).. I'm going to read through all that stuff tomorrow. We reported on a lot of this Mars/Cydonia stuff a while back.. but no link was ever made to the mayans or anything like that.

I had hoped that some kind of numbers game would yield an IP address, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Collective brain power is amazing.. just wait for our swedish friends (noi and the gang), jay, and everyone else to start working at it.

it's just too late for me.

sorry?

I, just don't understand what the first picture is supposed to be, and how does it relate to the second?

The overlay of the base sequence? What?

...so many questions...

What are those pictures at redkore's hompage

Pheew!
Excellent work. Guess you have to be very familiar with the mayan culture to come up with something like this, I'm knocked off my chair!

I guess you talk about Mars because of the face on the redkore homepage?
But I cant stop thinking about how we are supposed to travel, or maybe more like how the travelling are connected to the face on Mars??
Or how we are supposed to unlock something.

Ps. The time is 9:13 am. in Sweden, so don't get chocked by the late timestamp.

How to read mayan numbers

This site will do a better job explaining how to read mayan numbers than I ever could: http://www.niti.org/mayan/lesson.htm

Pretty much I started in the center and followed the arrow around the data grid. Mayan numbers read vertically so I just stacked all the symbols on top of each other as I went around. When I reached a dot->line part I took it to be the end of the digit and created the next digit from that point. You can see from my first pic that the symbols are aligned vertically or horizontally, I took each changeover to be a new number.

Scale

The picture of mars had no scale, so its just a guess where it might be. Thats why I made the red circle so big.

Guest: The head dont have to be the target. Maybe it is but it dont have to. It might be the "city" or "pyramid" next to it aswell.
