Life after "The Big Three" It's looking like MH, EMH and TT are all ending at some point this year. I'm wondering how many people will still be following the Slender Man mythos when the three that seem to have the highest following finish up. I personally have checked out a few of the other Slendy stories out there, but I don't know how long my interest in the mythos will realistically be sustained.
Not sure if this is "new post"-worthy or not, but I thought I'd toss it out there.

There will probably be another Big Three after the current ones end. But that's just my opinion.

Re: Life after "The Big Three" You know I'm not sure. There are some promising newer series out there. The OC, Coyote and AP Collection just to name a few. I know my vlog will be starting our second season soon and we don't plan to quit our series until late Summer or early fall. We are slowing down more which makes sense in the story.

I'm not leaving, there's plenty of other vlogs and blogs that show no sign of stopping (Paranormal Investigation and Social Documentary to name two), but what I mainly fear is that everyone else is going to leave.

Also, I know Amy from TJAProjects is starting a new SM vlog that looks promising.

Well, hopefully I can keep myself and other slender fans entertained with a vlog of my own.

This is how I see it so I am not worried.
Caught Not Sleeping = TT
The Dead Are Watching = MH
Tulpa Affect / Arkhams Doorstep or APCollection = EMH
But in truth there are so many series out now that I don't think it will come down to another big 3.

Okay, I know I've said it once and I'll say it again: but I'm really suprised Punishing Prometheus isn't bigger than it is. Brilliant story, a great main character. Maybe people are put off by it being a 'teen' vlog? I really think it has to the potential to be one of the next 'big' series.
I think the fandom will be slightly smaller - apparently a lot of Marble Hornets don't know - but I can't see the dedicated fans of various series dropping off merely because the big three series have finished. MLAnderson0 and Dark Harvest get very big views and I can't imagine those figures being majorly affected simply because three very popular series are over.
And why do we like these series? It's not just because they feature a creepy guy in a suit with no face, it's been the stories themselves which have been very different and distinct from each other. Sure, what's lead us to these stories has been, 'oh, they've got Slendy in it', but we've stuck around because of the stories they've told. Marble Hornets, Tribe Tweleve and Everyman HYBRID are popular, but their distinct, different stories and while they share some superfical similarties, both TT and EH are now very, very different beasts to MH. Does anyone really believe that Tribe Tweleve and Everyman HYBRID become so popular simply because people were looking for their Marble Hornets fix? I can't see the dedicated fans of these series growing out of it merely because a particular series is over.
That said, there will always be people looking to other series simply for a Marble Hornets fix during the break and they'll go. But I don't think they'll be that large in numbers.
The greatest threat to Slendy has been overexposure - and yet the creators behind the various Slendy stories have been innovative, telling very different stories which have gripped us. So, no, I don't think Slendy is in danger - he's only just begun.
And so our torment will continue

That's what I worry about, too. There are some other very good vlogs out there. But we all know how hard it can be to pick up a story half-way through. I worry that a lot of people will see their personal favorites through to the end and move on to something else.
Although that does bring up another good question...if someone WERE to direct a Slender Man film, who would you want? My personal choice would be Guillermo Del Toro.

What I want to know is what troseph will do after MH is over. I can't see them not doing more interesting stuff with their newfound internet fame/writing abilities.

I'm sure this notion has come up before.
There are still a lot of good (and some better) vlogs other than the so called "big three", so don't think that even after they're gone the genre is going to die instantly.
That said, this is a sinking ship.
