What an awful turn of events. Poor Jessie, we hardly knew ye. And poor Evan, losing a friend like that. You can really tell it's getting to him. At least he and Vinnie made it out of there intact.

Anyway, both Vinnie and Jeff seem worn out by everything going on. Just because they weren't showing as much emotion as Evan doesn't mean they aren't affected.

It's strange that the Slender Man reappeared now, but then again, the Rake's timing is odd as well. Is the pace going to pick up, or will there be another lull in events?

Just for clarification.

Jessa = Jeff's girlfriend that disappeared
Jessie = Evan's ex-girlfriend, Dr. Corenthal's niece
Steph/Damsel = Made CYSTW, they broke her out of the hospital, she's pregnant now
Lexi = Vince's girlfriend that was mentioned a few times and is presumably dead.

The guys really need to start watching out for Steph now to make sure nothing else happens to her. They've already lost so many friends, it's hard to tell how much longer they can hold it together.

So. I guess with Jeff's bit of dialogue at the end we can tentatively confirm the theory that Slendy is "protecting"/saving the boys for something else.

It's frustrating though! WHY is he protecting them? What is he saving them for? What about this whole parallel timelines/morse code videos/what have you?

Vinne being voyeuristic. VERY much so. Almost going in to film Jessie's body? That's fucked up.

Vinnie is getting more and more unsettling as time goes on. The way he just is so emotionally detached from what was going on and only seemed to care about getting things filmed was almost difficult to watch. I don't blame this on bad acting either. Maybe if it was another vlog, sure, but EMH have always been a very solid crew of actors in my opinion. Not to mention, I think they do a great job at paying attention to minor details. Anyhow, I think we're just going to have to keep an eye on him. Still too soon to make any assumptions with any full certainty, but more and more does it seem that there are many devious things that he isn't telling anyone.

On a much more OOG note, this is the second update within just a few days from EverymanHYBRID. I'm not trying to get mine or anyone else's hopes up, but hopeful thinking says that they may just be back in action for a more consistent stream of updates.

I wonder if Vinnie's reaction to wanting to go see and film is somehow overcompensating for whatever guilt he may be feeling over whatever happened to Lexi.

And generally speaking. We're to believe that Rose was killed due to her association with Corenthal(have we confirmed that William is dead?) Whats-her-name was killed for her Connection to Corenthal and her quest to locate the Fairmounts. And now Jessa was killed for the Corenthal connection and her help of the guys. That seems pretty correct, right?


The guys really need to contact Mrs. C before she's taken care of.

Tell 'em again, then. Last time we tried we didn't hear much, but it would appear obvious. Every person at every mark on that map they got from Jessie is being hunted down.

The Slenderman stopped the Rake. I think this is a line drawn in the sand. Mr. Thin's motivations are still oblique, but it requires them, atleast Vince, to be alive. The Rake I don't think cares, or lost it, or maybe thought that it was going to be finished off by one of them, and quickly recovered.

This showed another line we need to draw when we think about the Rake, The Slenderman, and the boys.

However, Vince didn't seem touched at all by this. I'm starting to think that this has something to do with his encounters with Mr. Thin.

I'm again, confused a bit by the relationships between Slendy, Habit, and the Rake

We know, from CYSTW, that there is some sort of arrangement between Slendy and Habit.

And we know there must be some arrangement between Habit and the Rake, mostly due to Ryan's raking.

And now the music blaring at Jessie's place sort of puts it in Habit's wheelhouse.

I'm willing to believe that maybe the Rake is inhabited, introduced to Habit years ago via Linnie's inclusion to the Corenthal family...but I fail to see why. If Habit is truly capable of what he claims to be in CYSTW, what use does he have for the Rake if he can tear a person apart with his inhabited hands?
