Are we sure those portraits don't go with the scrabble board?

The Ambassador quote in cutebee and the picture of the bottlecaps combine to find http://transmit.ilovebees.com/outbound/green_badge.wav

Here's how I solved it:
#bk collectively had realized that if you rotate the bottlecaps like clockwork, they'll all turn.
Sep7imus pointed out that "He handles everything as it comes up, until the whistle blows" could mean to look at each bottlecap as it turns right-side-up.

I messed around in PSP and Excel to estimate the angle until each bottlecap would be rightsideup, and got this:

Name Degrees
Storz 0
Iroquois 10
Zee-Mo 30
Southern Delight 60
Rocky 80
Good 120
Rainier 140
Edelweiss Ritz 150
Erlangen 170
Nulcy 180
Badger 230
Ambassador 240
Derby 250
Golden Punch 270
Essingers 290
Whistle 340

I saw that the first letters spelled SIZSRGREENBADGEW, which had "greenbadge" in it. strifey found that green_badge was a good wav file, and others pointed out that the first 5 letters should have been ignored since the Ambassador was supposed to start at "8 oclock".

A good collective solve, I take credit only for the grunt work of the math Razz

In the scrabble pic (groupofjars.jpg) two words have blank letter. VIC_ and ON_E. The first one could be a Y or an I, the second one should be C. I thought it might be i_see.wav, or see_why.wav, but tis not. It could also mean icy.

I think this is a reference to the original Candy Land board game, whose slogan was "A sweet little game for Sweet Little Folks."

But i can't find a good image of the original game board online. Does anyone own this?

What do you guys think?

btw, candyland/candy_land = 404

I'm thinking we need to identify the manufacturer/designer whose product is being advertised in each picture, and then take the corresponding letter from that name. Anyone around here read a lot of high-end fashion magazines?

First one could be an E. Easy something?

And for those who care, here's my picture reference for figuring this out.

I think it's actually supposed to be an E and a C to spell out VICE and ONCE.

Jumping to conclusions, it's probably related to the embedded image in farnsworth with the grid of colors. Then again, the colors might not match with the colors on the board.

I did the same thing. Only not as quickly.

Good work.

How did you determine the missing letters in VIC_? I was assuming E.

from what I remember of candyland, those colors match exactly. I would say that you probably have to take the colors you hit on the way to the gingerbread house and put them into the colored grid. -- Each number is one move, and then given the "move" and the color, you can get a letter.

EDIT: Alas, I am at work, and as such have no access to the candyland board.
