With number five I was very lucky when I tried a cipher method, and I hit on a couple of correct characters in the key. I could brute force the rest.
However I'm positive the way I did it (one time pad) is not the correct way.

The clue is at the top of the page for puzzle 4, once you have that for the four puzzles look at the numbers and letters.
I've put that in spoiler tags, but it isn't a solution, just a hint.

Polo12 & zort70, I solved puzzle five ....
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
using a hint from the puzzle description "are you giving *up* or going *down*?" Notice two letters are written in black, from there it's count up or down.

I've been working on puzzle #4 for hours and I'm still stumped, even with a hint!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I know my chess isn't rusty, but are they asking us to move just the white queen to put the black king in checkmate? Or should we be moving other pieces instead? I'm really lost with this one...
Even after I've moved the white queen to put the black king in checkmate for all 4 boards, the letters don't make sense when sorted by number.

I've put solutions to all the puzzles (with diagrams ) on The Rock Mysteries.
All in spoiler tags, so if you don't want to see a solution for one game you don't have to look.

the queen doesn't checkmate in all of them, look at the other pieces

New puzzles.
Solved all of them, but am still not sure about the path to solving second one. It seemed kind of random.
Also, I couldn't get the third to work in Firefox, but it works in IE.
Also, WTF Tharol?

Yes puzzle seven is slightly odd, I can't see the pattern in it.
I've got the other 4 answers but not this one yet.

For puzzle 7
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Use process of elimination. Look at all the numbers on the clown and then the ones that are noted on the paint tray. Eliminate those noted. The numbers left correspond with the alphabet in order. 123 = ABC. Then it's just an anagram for the answer.

Thanks r.m. I was looking far too complex a solution.
I should really have taken note of the "Easy" rating of the puzzle

Puzzle 8 runs fine in my Firefox. Perhaps it is a plugin issue for you. Try running just the audio file directly.
(btw, i have not yet solved 8 or 9, so thank y'uns all for keeping spoilers hidden.)

Got all but #9. I've been trying to get it on my own - but think maybe I need a little hint. Everything I try is leading me to nowhere. Can someone point me in the right direction with spoiler tags and without giving away the complete answer? I need to stop thinking about it!

Quick hint (not solution) for number 9 -
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The clue is in the title of the puzzle, but it has something in common with a computer
