 		Hey, reesylou and Zobot257!

reesylou, I assumed he meant D. Wallace. On the wiki it says that Wallace's first name has never been revealed or something like that. As for 243, there are 243 different pages on the Janus Archive (81 in Past, Present, and future).

In the interest of saving space here, I'm just gonna upload my emails to pastebin and share the links. Here's my conversations with the guides so far:

The Future guide seems to be intent on not helping. And there doesn't seem to be a lot of useful stuff in the Present guide's emails, besides his advice to "read the instructions." I'm not exactly sure how to reply to the Past guide's emails. How do you guys think I should respond?

As far as 2 letter codes on the Past page go, here's all the one's I've found:

Dn hn eN | Wg ri | Ce bb fK | Px ro | Lo bb dx | Ce wo | Za uh ub | Og yb pF | Ku qj

Lines between groups mean they came from different pages. I did that because I'm not totally sure what order everything should go in. I'm not even sure if some of those letters actually belong. Since we are probably dealing with a Playfair cipher (what else uses digraphs?), I tried using a Playfair breaker (http://www.quinapalus.com/cgi-bin/playfair), but didn't come up with anything.

Well, Holden's latin phrase from Seneca is spot on imo, translating to The appearances of things are deceptive so I made an email stab with:

 		I just started communicating with two of the Guides. They both said about the same thing: Their Janus Archive consoles started glowing and asking for a passkey and they may be being hacked. (Full convos up tonight, but thats the gist of them)

Neither of them know the passkeys but its my sneaking suspicon that:

1) All three guides will need one.

2) We can find them on the Janus Archive itself somehow.

3) We need to hurry!

At work so I can't focus enirely on this but I will ask them for more info and pass it onto you if I learn anything. I will help more directly tomorrow, as well...

So lets get to work!

 		I still haven't made any progress on the digraphs or the other codes. The new tweets and the Foilhead post don't seem to reveal anything useful either...

As for the glowing consoles, the main page of the Janus Archive says

Maybe that's what it means?

Way to go, amandel! Now, what could the names possibly be? Past, Present, Future (probably not)? Maybe its Sun, Jupiter, Neptune?

 		BY offering to help our shazbot guides have learned: From the JAGuidePast that his "encryption code is in the present" & from the JAGuideFuture that his "encryption code is in the past zone". The JAGuidePresent is prolly too toasted Twisted Evil to even notice his console is glowing 'tho logic dictates his code would then be in the Future.

Sorry FuzzyGoodle: Sun, Jupiter & Neptune don't work on anything I've tried nor are they the gateway names per se b/c Louise hinted those are "paired". Confused Confused

So I was wrong about D. being D. Wallace. Guess they are still sticking with the Blade Runner names (the other two sign their emails H. and T., Holden and Tyrell). Although I don't think their names matter at all. Any idea what to do with "3r5d"? Maybe that's the Past guide's encryption key (from "the present")?

Meanwhile, I've made some edits to the Past and Present analysis pages, so I'll post them again once I finish making the one for Future (I caved and decided to do it myself).

Not much info, just Inspector Galesh introducing himself.

Previous to Case 333 I really did only small work like finding missing pets although sometimes I was searching for mythical creatures as well but people paid me after a fashion, my life was quiet. Then a physicist (Professor Maad) goes missing and his wife hires me to find him. That's when I my life suddenly takes a U-turn, the upside is Louise comes back to me we had previously split up although she still helped with my failings in technology.

What started out as a simple missing person case spiraled into something quite epic and world ending. A young kid called Robert Carne who was/is a friend to Maad sent me recordings he had made in stone circles, he called them 'flux echoes' they appear to be coming from the future, the year 2023. And it was not a good future. I met another academic called Professor Danny/Daniel Drake who professed that on top of a Welsh mountain was a ancient weapon of mass destruction, it was also said to be a gateway to Tartarus.

A man called Lewis Style was also interested in finding Maad and he eventually attacked Robert for the information to open the gateway. I got their too late, Style had opened the gateway. It tends to blur here though I seem to be remembering different versions of happened next and later nobody seem to remember that anything unusual happened on 9th February 2011.

Don't tell Louise she does worry about me.

Foilhead seems to be okay, he appears to be very independent.

EDIT: Location 7x5 seems to indicate a grid of some sort, or the number 35. (7 x 5 = 35). Looking at the past section of the Janus archive, going from top to bottom, left to right, square 35 is: this. Does that seem to mean anything to anyone?

So now I think his clue is that it's on the data grid in the Present Zone, with the coordinates 3 and 5, somehow. But I don't know if that's left to right and top to bottom or the other way, or something like that.

But I've taken the liberty of pulling up all possible combinations:

Starting from top left and going 3 to the right, then 5 down: This

Starting from top right and going 3 to the left, then five down: This

Starting from the top left and going 5 to the right, 3 down: Data unrecoverable.

Starting from the top right and going 5 to the left, 3 down: Data unrecoverable.

Starting from the bottom left and going 3 to the right, then 5 up (As if it were an x/y grid): Yields the same combination as if you start from the top left.

Starting from the bottom right and going 3 to the left, then 5 up: Yields the same combo as if you started from the top.

Starting from the bottom left and going 5 right, 3 up: This.

Starting from the bottom right and going 5 left, 3 up: Same thing as the previous one.

So we've got three options here, realistically, and I'm sure if we can decode these clues we'll know the passkey![/url]

 		I think what we're seeing is some sort of encryption based off of the image's name or something? Maybe?

I don't really know how encryption works. Can someone help me out here?

Super! Rock On and as Booba (kewl badge pick-up btw) posted ja120x59sn is the Namdaemun Gate in Seoul which served as the model for WOW's gate of Darnassus

ETA: fwiw the ROT 13 & 23 there read: "Angel of Heaven... Fire disguises many things". And in "ja1169s784k5" the top pic is the Dariel Gorge in the Caucausus Mountains, rumored to be the possible site of the mythic Alexander's Gates. The bottom pic there is the Somerton man mystery code.

Big Guess: while emailing the JAGuidePAST he said I was "in the Gorge". So if Gorge=Gate maybe Gorge or Alexander is the name of one of the 3 gateways. Dunno
