Just had a thought. If we do give her the translation of the first journal page I suggest we re-scramble the names for the Magister and Siorai as well as the proxies who are named and Nona's name as well. We might even consider scrambling the latin terms used as well. I suggest we use ROT47 and say that those words were untranslatable. It would give her some information and show that we are making an effort to find out things for her while on the other hand keeping important things, such as names, from her knowledge. Good idea or not?

Andrea put up another page from the journal last night. Here is the decode for it:

I don't want to ruin the surprise, but incineration is hard. For his age, I don't know how Torqueo became such a sadist. He actually takes joy in what he does. Incineration is meant as a trial and nothing more. It should be approached from a professional standpoint, but that laugh makes me realize he is only pleased with flesh beneath his nails and blood on his hands. Why the Magister keeps him is beyond me.

Nona has been acting strange. She is reluctant to reveal her yokan. Nona was taken back before we had the "no child prospects" rule (that wasn't until after the second World War according to Historia). I've always felt bad for her (I hope Torqueo never finds out) situation. The Siorai does his restorative work on her in the back room that is usually used for incineration. If he had finished medical school he would have made an awful surgeon, he doesn't sedate her. At least once a month she needs her restorative work and we have to listen to her screams for hours followed by the obnoxious sobbing. Medice used to give her painkillers, but the amount of livers she went through was annoying the Siorai even though the Magister said it didn't bother the god. Don't be alarmed by Nona's appearance. She always looks like that and if its a good week she won't smell of rotting organs.

From what I can tell from her body shape and demeanor, Historia is the oldest of us and most multilingual. She teaches languages. She knows the entire history of the Ordine. She has seen three Magisters pass through and she likes this one the least. Her faith in our god is so strong. I find it stunning she has survived this long. The turnover rate is said to be high due to "untimely death". Interestingly enough, though she has been here the longest, I have never seen a direct interaction between her and our god. Perhaps one day, but the chain of command has always been in place and our god only communicates directly with Magister.

It's strange. I am writing to someone who probably hasn't even been selected yet, and somehow I feel a connection to you, whoever you may be.

Maybe I need to be re-incinerated. Too many emotions.


Confirmed. Siorai AND Magister are proxies. Torqueo is also a bastard if you ask me. Looks to me like there is some in-fighting in the Ordine though.

Couple of new words here.

yokan - the only thing that I can find is that it is "A popular Japanese confection made from adzuki-bean paste and agar. Adzuki beans are small, dried, russet-colored beans with a sweet flavor. Agar is a thickening agent made from seaweed. " Doesn't make sense....at all....

Historia (another proxy and part of the Ordine) - Latin (and in other Romance languages) for History. Seems like she is probably a sort of walking Encyclopedia of the Ordine.

Huh. Maybe I used to use an old version, I remember the contents not showing until the password was entered. I thought I heard her say it asked for a password as soon as she clicked the rar.

Staged video from friends is similar to what I was thinking, though the file name does complicate things. And I guess any faked video would have to be roughly the same size. It would be safest to just ignore it, though she would feel helped this way. Should she know Servus doesn't want her to remember certain things (hence the title)? We don't really know what Servus is planning yet, but (s)he is Andrea's closest link for help.

 		Slapped together a blogger account since someone suggested that I go ahead and become a point of contact for Andrea.

Shall I go ahead with our discussion of bringing up the possibility of translation or not?

 		Umm, guys.... According to her Google+ account Andrea is off the Dex. On the one hand this is...sorta... a good thing because of the potential for addiction. On the other hand this is.... a bad thing because she said earlier that heart rate drops and "remains dangerously low even when active". Not good, not good.

IMHO, we need to make a move one way or another. If we are going to go the route of releasing translations of the journal then, as I suggested earlier, we need to mask certain parts of the translation. Retain some mystery for her about it but still show her that we are trying to help and give her some hope. That is my suggestion.

IMHO, we can, with the proviso I suggested earlier, open up the possibility that someone is translating the journal. Just be circumspect and don't tell her how you did it.

I googled around for a bit and found that "yokan" could also possibly mean "hunch" or "omen". I'm not really sure if that makes any more sense than a dessert...

I fear its been 6 months since I've been able to write in my little journal for you. I'm amazed I've made it this long. I've finally been given a break. Torqueo is now on the surveillance detail.

Vis is going to be on her trial much longer than anticipated. This prospect has become bogged down, and according to the changes made after the second World War, we cannot take someone in her condition until she returns to her full health status.

It's strange. I see Vis Vires in a different light lately. The influence of her trial has me fooled. Perhaps she is not as unstable as a I once thought.

I shall fill you in on Bellicus. He is a frighteningly large man, but I imagine he has been injured (the way he walks is a dead giveway). I imagine, before he completed the duodecim, he served time in prison. The way he sits. Huddled. Closed body language. As though he is constantly protecting his vital organs. Do not sneak up on him unless you want to have surgery to replace your own vital organs, and since the Magister has yet to replace Medice, it means the Siorai doctor will do surgery on you. I doubt his tools are even sterile.

Nona has been emitting an awful smell recently and bumping into things. She has a disgusting blindfold on. I think he took her eyes out as a punishment for not revealing her yokan properly. As it turns out, because of her gift, she is leaving notes scrawled in blood everywhere. I've seen her dipping the end of a paintbrush into her empty eye sockets to do so. If you ever want to lose your appetite, just watch Nona write a note to one of us.


So, looks like Nona is without a doubt Sight.

The beginning of TJA Projects maybe? Fits in with the term used. If so then that means they were being observed by others other than Sight.

Agreed. Nona is Sight, no doubt now. I am getting the feeling that Vis Vires is Amy but STILL can't confirm it. Alot of the description here of Vis' trial DOES match Amy's actions and what happened to her in TJA. I just don't feel 100% confidence. Another proxy is introduced, Bellicus (Warlike, fierce) who is probably an enforcer type. Wouldn't be surprised.

I am afraid to find out if the tattoo apprentice told her anything although I think who/whatever made the phone call probably wiped his mind. I am going to post a note and see if he told her anything.

Yeah, as for the rest of this... it was pretty inevitable that it would occur. The question now is what kind of peril is Andrea in with that kind of information out there, and will the Minions/Custos intervene to destroy a possible link to Andrea's past?
