Ok, here's what I've got so far, I don't know if this will be helpful but here's what it is:

I sent all three guides a single request:

Me:

Quote:
I do apologize for bothering you, but...

Things are growing rather urgent, I need to ask, do you remember anything about the security key of your station?

I've heard back from all three of them:

JAguideB26354 responded:

Quote:
According to the terminal man there three of them Holden thinks they are stored in a game somewhere not in a archive but the game data is stored in my present zone, get me dude?

Why the sudden need, it had all gone quiet thought guys had given up.

D.

And JAGuide Holden responded:

Quote:
I know there's three of them and possibly three boojums as well.

And they are: ab antiquo

JAGuide Dr. Eldon Tyrell responded:

Quote:
In the future there were three probable routes each with a separate key, stored in three tag id form.

That's all I know, I'm terribly busy at the moment.

I'll let you guys know if I hear anything else.

EDIT: Amandal, did you say that Stormbringer was Kelan's MUD? As in a game? And we saw references to Kelan in the Present zone... what if the 3 security keys we need aren't in the archive, but in the Stormbringer MUD somewhere?

First: PROPS bigtime Booba Rock On And, nope Zobot, said that Kalan is a character in Michael Moorcock fiction & Stormbringer is the Moorcock's universe MUD.

Also. am curious to find out all possible about the "joined" (Present: Ja1169s784k5) & the hieroglyphics in PAST: Ja100x87sn are those for Khufu aka Cheops whose mummy has indeed never been recovered.

Looking at the updated Present info, we have Flannan Isles and Dick Cox (http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=%22dick+cox%22+george+1948&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCQQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FRichard_Colvin_Cox&ei=N7NCT76pCIaViQeewLnfBA&usg=AFQjCNFN2gYmLB8ePv8iTUTCLIUInrVrPg from the previos game.... I am guessing several others will be linked too.

Off to work now so cannot follow up.

Wow, thanks for the high praise Fuzzy (i'd blush if I knew how) but that sort of thing is done around here on a regular basis. And as the Guide so kindly pointed out -what took you so long, did you give up?

And no, I did not recognize Sungnyemun until you pointed it out Embarassed

I did try to search when I had sungnyemunang but had no ideal how to break that up.

Now we have to find a "game" in the Present and I suppose contact Kalan there? I'm looking but can't see it....

Samael Leamas said on FB that A. Einstein "did his best work when he was joined" & F.P. Sun replied to my email asking about these individuals & female members

Amandel my dear,

We are not gender biased, I think you will find that is Constantine's fault and his so called conversion. Although I would be lying if I said that Christianity wasn't in our best interests, some religions are just born to control people.

"more challenging than your "layers of encryption..." - You have the names of the Gateways then or better still the keys?

You are all born into a winter that you cannot escape, you begin to die from birth. We are your only chance at spring.

acta deos numquam mortalia fallunt [My note. Ovid: "the deeds of men never escape the gods" *le sigh* for Fred's attitude]

Nu.

ETA: From the PRESENT archive NA33 seems to be into Evony. And Constantine is also the mythic gates' builder, Alexander (the Great); maybe there's a hint there Smile

More responses from those guys I emailed:

F. P. Sun Correspondence:

Me:
Quote:
Mr. Sun, I had a question,

You told a friend of mine that "Despite what you think, we are the good guys." Why are you so certain of that?

Sun:
Quote:
Because if it wasn't for us mankind would of torn itself apart by now, speak to Foilhead he's written about how history is oddly full of cliffhangers. They don't happen by chance young man.

Also this planet is attacked regularly we are the only ones who know how to stop and redirect these attacks to less inhabited areas.

Earth's history was not born in a vacuum.

Fred.

JAG Holden Correspondence:

Me:
Quote:
One other question, if you would be willing to answer. Could you tell me more about a group called the Rocket Men of Shen?

JAG Holden:
Quote:
Okay why not.

It is a secret society that dates back to early Egyptian times obviously it was not called the Rocket Men back then it was originally called: Amun-Ra Rmt. The shen came later, a shen ring is a protection symbol it also represents 'eternal'.

There are always nine members, somtimes they have been referred to as The Eight and The One. It thought that this refers to something else but only the nine know the real answer.

There are some references to: The One going back as far as the Sumerians.

Wish I could tell you more but most of the information was stored in the archive and I only know scraps of information.

JAG B26354 Correspondence:

Me:
Quote:
Quick question: Did you ever play a MUD called Stormbringer? What did you think about that one if you did?

JAG B26354:
Quote:
No man. Isn't the game data in the zone somewhere?

D.

JAG Dr Eldon Tyrell Correspondence:

Me:
Quote:
Thank you for your assistance! What are you busy with?

JAG Dr Eldon Tyrell:
Quote:
Not that is any of your business but I'm diverging futures using a complex simulation analysis equation, weeding out the worst possible ones if you like. Takes a great deal of patience and the less interruptions the better.

That's all I've got! I'm convinced one of the keys is found in the present area at 9r5d, with the youtube link there, but I can't figure out what it would be! All the hints seem to indicate it, though...

Laffing like a loon at PRESENT's reply to my asking what "the zone" was, could one become stranded there (m/b William Rouke or John Knile?) & did he play Evony.

JAG B26354 wrote:
Your talking about the combat vets urban myth The Zone, suppose to be the ultimate in battle experience, you hear about it on the street lady. Never met anyone who has actually been there though, of course the rumour is once you go you never want to leave lady, a modern day valhalla. Pretty heavy, some say you can find peace there too.

Evony yer lady, played that alot. Hey that's it lady how did you know, think I fought a player called Kalan maybe he's got the backup keys. Wow that's really weird, need a beer got to think about this.

Holden said the RMS was called Amun-Ra Rmt. The correct hieroglyphic is Amun Ra rmT i.e. Amun-Ra People. With "shen" it is the eternal ring of the Amun-Ra People

Very Cool Booba and very, very likely. Guess JAG B26354 aka Flaming Nutter will let one of us know after he's made contact with this Kalan. Edit:

And why didn't I guess JAG B26354 would wrote:
Hey lady lost my password to Evony, your best off joining yourself if you know the server/world name that Kalan is playing in you can select any server after you registered. Sorry really am.

Maybe it's a girl thing but I'm cautious about forums so have said I won't register tho I saw a few of y'all there & emailed y'all would help him. *noncommittal shrug*

I've made an account and joined the world Bardiche (na33). There is an actual person online named Kalan (a player, not a forum-goer. I think the forum user is unrelated (look at when he last logged on)). I've sent them a message and a whisper and am waiting for a response.

Nice job finding this, amandel!

And booba, I was mostly in awe because I had been trying to do the same thing for hours and hours.

Very Happy

I've got a response!

Quote:
From: Kalan
Subject: Reply:Hello?

I do hold certain keys to the kingdom of the present, however I will not give them over without the names of the Gateways to the past and the present. Those names will unlock the location of Count Brass and traitors to the Empire.

Baron Kalan of Vitall

Count Brass is another reference to Michael Moorcock.

And I replied with Namdaemun (or Sungnyemun) and the Gates of Alexander. Still waiting for a response.

Whoops. Guess that's not right. Here's what I had sent him:
Quote:
Hello there, Baron Kalan!

It is my understanding that the gate in the past goes by Namdaemun or Sungnyemun, while the gateway in the present is known as the Gates of Alexander. I'd also be interested in knowing where you got these keys of yours.

-Fuzzy

And here is his response:
Quote:
Wrong wrong wrong!

Well not completely wrong, Gateway names are made up of two words, you currently only have the first words to each gateway. The gateway name in the present decrypts the coded data in the past and vice versa. Once you have the present's gateway you will be able to get the keys stored in the past.

You give me both names and I will supply the present's keys. I'm the Baron Kalan of Vitall that is why I have the keys.

K.

So we know the gateway name in the past is "Sungnyemun Angel," as that decoded all the text in the present. I'll verify that with Kalan. And we know name of the gateway in the present is "Alexander" plus some other word. We also know that it will decode the codes in the past. As I see it, that could only refer to the cipher text in 1r3d or the digraphs. The cipher text is:
Quote:
Iut senaaymt, enaata b..irptsel lptehneaye on htfrtmeig r lasiprat h adwsli owsem otbtslnesuo h hr.Bodsituo h at ayda tm et
fdai tsew ontl..d tyaupt neo op nerm d f.

Vigenere-ing that with "Alexander" doesn't lead to anything coherent. I've also tried Keyed Caesar shifts and some other things, but I haven't had any luck. And I think the digraphs are:
Quote:
Dn hn eN | Wg ri | Ce bb fK | Px ro | Lo bb dx | Ce wo | Za uh ub | Og yb pF | Ku qj

But I'm still not totally sure if that's correct.

Any thoughts?
