I just had an awful, awful thought. It came to me as I tried to figure out the shaving. Why would Slenderman (or Habit?) shave Vinnie? It didn't make any sense to me for the longest time, until I divorced myself from the context of Cycles and Time Skips and Slenderman and all this stuff, and just thought forensically.

Vinnie was shaved and cleaned, because he got Alex's blood in his beard, which would have irrevocably and significantly linked him to a death or disappearance. As is, we have Vinnie waking up next to a bag that may or may not have identifiable remains in it, and the only thing we can see from the video is that Vinnie was present when Alex vanished, which, while suspicious, would not serve as very convincing evidence in a court of law.

In other words, my theory is that Vinnie was shaved to destroy what could be damning evidence. Why Vinnie would have Alex's blood in his beard I won't openly speculate on, though my mind does go right back to that time in the woods with the dear...

I'm not sure about the above. I think he's innocent of even involuntary harm to Alex. His suit pants looked kinda dirty anyways.
Also, how did we get from staring at gunk on windshields to INFINITE ALEXES...

@NoMoreGaems: Once again I am saddened. What you are saying is logical. He might have been in some kind of trance- not via Slendy mind-control, but perhaps by something similar to what happened when the Mining Town Four watched the hidden videos and engaged in that Candleverse-like conversation.

Not sure what the significance is with the lost tie and beard, but who else do we know that is beardless and wears a red tie in EMH? I don't think that was a coincidence.

For the sake of speculation--any rationale that has Vinny shaving his beard for forensic purposes I'd think would almost have to also have him losing his whole outfit.I find it a stretch to think that if he got blood spatter on him (and/or other gross stuff) that it would almost certainly be on his clothes too.
But he is wearing the same clothes--albeit sans snappy red tie--and although he seems a bit 'looser' and disheveled,and perhaps has a bit of dirt on him--I see no evidence of any blood on his clothes.
And I will also reiterate the other things I noted that seemed significant--like where the sun was at (setting) and everything being wet as if it had rained.

I also keep coming back to something I noted when I first watched this entry and that is the fact that the scene in the 'flashback' of Vinny,Alex and Evan struck me at first as them looking awfully young--and that plus Vinny looking in the side view mirror and being clean shaven (and to ME looking a bit younger) just makes me wonder what it is that is actually going on because there are so many differnt ways to interpret it all,and it can get confusing....

Maybe Slenderman is frustrated by Rapidshare and is now trying to solve captcha via DLing w/ Vinnie's car???

In all seriousness though, us speculating about the "writing" will surely be canon tomorrow.
