out of curiosity, what settings (wpm) did you use to get the final answer?
I did it manually this afternoon and got the same result as last night so posted it anyway. Glad I did. Now to look at that next picture.

Dunno if this is anything, but the same image comes up at 0:43 in the trailer.

I guess we got a taste of what it's like looking for extra terrestrial life hehe. I wonder what's next? I'm taking it that the picture does not lead on elsewhere. Maybe we'll get some sort of reveal of a creature or a H.R.Giger murial?? Excited.

Nice! The image goes by so quickly in the trailer that I didn't notice it before. It looks like a woman in the middle of some kind of 3D holographic map of the universe or at least part of the universe.
Great work finding it!

Wow! I just googled 6EQUJ5! I'd never heard of any of that before! Well lesson learned... Next time I think I've found gibberish I'll run a quick google on it first.
*edit* I feel even dumber not knowing about it since it happened on the day I was born and I've looked at famous events for that day lots of times... derrrrp...

That is some serious guidance system, there are quite a few little clips into the Ridley Scott mind.
And you could always look back to see whats ahead

6EQUJ5 Solve Here is the text I used to decode the morse. White squares I converted to -'s and black to _'s. The grey ones I adjusted depending on the neighbors to get a nice wave form.
Code:
--_____--------_--___--________--__--______----_--------__--_______--------_--___--___--___--_______
. -.. .. .-. -....
e d i r 6
--______-------__--------_----_-------_______--___--_---------_____----_---------_---------_--------______--___--___--__--___--__________
. --.- ..- .--- .....

I believe the grey areas are the simulated natural transitions that you would see during the use of a signal lamp to transmit morse code. http://morse.tothemathmos.com/
I am very impressed with the work done on this site.
